  1. Not sure if it's because I am using my cell phone and not a desktop but I can't fill out my profile for my meet up account. But I would definitely love to meet others in my area.
  2. I have to second the Brooks!
  3. Could be BP, but if its specific to head movement or positions when laying down in bed or looking up in the shower or when brushing teeth, it could be a positional type of vertigo (this wouldn't be surgery related)
  4. Amazing job! You look fantastic!
  5. Suggested by others on this site. Smooth Move tea! You can get it at any Whole Foods. One cup at night before bed and you are good to "go" by the next day. I am 6 weeks post op and drink about 2-3 cups a week to keep it moving!
  6. Cereve was the only thing that worked on my son's eczema when he was a baby (pediatrician recommended). It's great!
  7. If you click on the portion size it usually gives you multiple portion sizes (cups, oz, grams etc).
  8. Can't believe I am saying this, but I miss salads. When did you guys introduce salads (lettuce and raw veggies) back into your diets?
  9. I am 5 weeks post op. Before surgery, up until the weekend before surgery I drank 2 large black iced coffees a day from DD. I thought for sure I would miss coffee more than anything. I can't believe the urge is not even there. I tried a small iced last week just to see and I was completely turned off. I'm going to save so much money!! It's great! Ha!
  10. I use myfitnesspal app. Great tracker and keeps track of all nutrients so you can keep an eye on your protein.
  11. What are most of your averages for calorie intake if you are around 1 month post op?
  12. Hi Anna. I was sleeves on 9/16. What do you find most difficult at this point? Is it more the psychological aspect or actual physical eating?
  13. Swerdy. I would be interested, I'm in West Boynton!
  14. Wishing him all the best and a speedy recovery!
  15. Besides Quest what are some of your favorites?
  16. Re: children. I have a 2 and a 4 year old. My 2 year old just knew mommy was away a couple nights (hospital stay). My 4 year old son, very attached to me, seemed very concerned. I just let him know mommy was getting a new belly so I could be healthier and be able to play with him more. I told him I would probably be getting smaller, and that meant I could do more things like go on rides and play with him on the floor etc. He has been super supportive and excited about mommy's new belly!
  17. @@Margie122 it is a natural laxative. It definitely loosens up everything. I will probably drink it a few nights a week for preventative measures. I'm 2.5 weeks post op and #2 has been a struggle for me as well.
  18. I had the camomile flavor and I barely tasted any licorice.
  19. I can't remember who recommended this tea, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart ????. Oh happy day!!
  20. I had my surgery the same day as you. I refuse to get on the scale at home. They weighed me at my one week follow up and I was pleasantly surprised and that is how I want to keep doing it. If I use my home scale I will psych myself out. I have a lot more to worry about right now than those numbers on the scale....like getting my proteins and water and trying to advance my diet.
  21. Saw my doc today for 1 week post op. He said all the gas should be out by now. Most likely phrenic nerve? If diaphragm is irritated, it will effect that nerve. Should lessen with time.
  22. Hi there, I am one week post op as well. Only problem I am having is severe pain in left shoulder. Only Nausea I had was when I tried to take a pain pill. Are you taking any meds that make you nauseous? Can you ask the doc for some anti-nausea med, like Zofran?
  23. I know this has been brought up before, but this is killing me! I am one week post op. Nothing else bothering me, but I am going on 24 hours of pain, constant on and off severe at some points. I can't seem to do anything to make it stop. I took a pain pill today, first since the surgery, and it did nothing but make me nauseous. Anyone else have another remedy for this shoulder pain?
  24. Good luck!! You will do great! My advice, the sooner you can get burping (well getting the gas out anyway you can), the better you will feel!
