  1. I had Amerihealth and was paying over a grand a month...they don't cover revision WLS...so what do they cover??? Ugh
  2. 1,2,3 get it done....you will be glad you did what you had to do.
  3. One of the seminars I went to the speaker said she was so difficient that she had a iron/protein drip after she had a blood test and it was determined that she was not getting enough protein ....see your doctor have them do a blood test get a drip ...you are deficient.
  4. I called the coordinator and she said sit tight she sees no problems..it is just a lot of people trying to have this surgery before the end of the year.Still I am in a wait and see mode
  5. Taste pretty damn good! Not as bad as others that have that chalky aftertaste.It packs up to 32 grams of protein.Comes in a variety of flavors and unflavored.

  8. I am soon to begin pre op diet and I bought the black and green tea isopure. I can handle it...I like the fact that it is clear liquid...and has protein.I plan to take it to the hospital.I hate Gatorade with a passion. High protein jello?Who carries it?

Hi Pam I am going for a revision from a failed lapband to bypass.At 51 I know that the weight will be hard to come off..,but I gotta get it done...My doctor is Dr. Ness.I haven't told anyone except my parents...zi am so fat right now I feel invisible...I attended the hospital seminar and ....you are gonna laugh..I was the supermodel in the room!Everone was 2 to 3 times my size....I have to make this work.Being this overweight is just plain miserable...what procedure did you have done? I live near Princeton Who was your surgeon?

  15. Must be technical failure of some sort and you have to start over...track your weight,go see your primary and they will get you started.

I have had surgery alone...your boyfriend will pick you up right?According to the facility the stay is generally 36 hours.You can do this...Have your phone ,mobile devices so you can talk to someone.My parents work and they are the only ones that are privy to my surgery.I will be dropped off in the morning for surgery and the next evening they will pick me up when I am to be released.In the meantime doctors and staff will be poking and prodding....

Dr.Neff.My paperwork was submitted the week of the 24th...haven't heard yet but went to the required class that gives you an overview of the hospital,procedure and a review of all necessary steps pre op ,post op.There was a class of about 15 people plus support members.I was the smallest person ...wow...a few 500 pounders.I think I asked the most questions...nice support system.
  20. Went to the required meeting ...very informative...I was the skinniest of the group! :-)Got a tour of the bariatric ward.Q& A with the coordinator who is an ex bariatric patient...
