Pacific foods makes great soups in the carton Coconut water- will keep you hydrated Isopure...liquid protein Steamed spinach in chicken broth Steamed fish in broth Jello Cottage cheese Chobani plain or Fage yogurt because they have the least amount of sugar. Popsicles GasX- just because Listenine strips - to combat crappy taste in mouth Cream of wheat Protein drinks an powders. Electric heating pad

Reactive hypoglycemia
I have this and I am pre surgery...stay away from carbs....sugar....you need more protein.It is a thing with hypoglycemia...drink isopure liquid protein drinks.They come in flavors and will keep you hydrated and not prone to dizziness and weakness. I also drink coconut water.

Updates on December 2015 Surgeries
Thanks...so looking forward to this surgery...because it is scheduled for Dec 28 I feel as though it is my Christmas gift to me!I have so many things I want to do...feeling good and carrying less weight will allow my to excel in all areas of my life....you guys keep me inspired! Thanks.

Easing in to pre-op diet?
My doctor is not an advocate of all liquid...I can have cottage cheese,yogurt and one serving of softened proteins and steamed spinach.2 to 3 shakes and I feel fine...isopure liquid protein is my new friend.

when do you feel normal eating again (small portions still)?
Pacific foods has the best puréed soups...so does trader joes.Also isopure liquid protein comes in great flavors.

I would stay with liquids for awhile....you have a lifetime to get with solids...why not give your stomach more of a chance to heal?

I am having surgery at a center for excellence...they said 48 hours from surgery then you are out.Based on all comments Extension cord for iPad,pajama pant,heating pad .slippers,mouthwash ...cell phone. And coconut water with aloe from trader joes

Headaches?
I am the same..an excedrine girl.Always headaches...I am suspecting...you were probably allergic to yeast and all the carbs...I went on a low carb diet once and my headaches disappeared .When I started back..,same migraines...also coffee and chocolate..,,

Blood work
Hi con con You need to request blood work...tell your dr.you feel weak....this is not cool hat he just sends you off into the sunset...What if you are vitamin deficient ?Could lead to problems...get him to order blood work for you and also test your vitamin D level.

Give yourself a week to eliminate caffeine ...ugh...it is a big feat...had lots of headaches..dizziness....The following week now week one I am on a soft food diet no sugar or starches 2 to 3 shakes and a serving of steamed vegetables and fish or cottage cheese....First 3 days ugh....ok now...3 days before surgery I start clear liquid only before surgery.
