Parisshel, I blame myself for going with the "hottest new thing back in 2004"The lapband is what the sleeve is today.I was going to revise to the sleeve until I did my research.I am revising to the bypass because there cannot be a 3rd operation.I must use the best tool to help me conquer my struggle.It is a matter of life or death with me.This new surgeon asked me what I wanted ...why not the sleeve??I told him and he he nodded in agreement.?.if I had wanted to get the sleeve he would of been more than happy! This band is just the worse.They should stop this procedure entirely.
  5. What are Protein shots?i start my fast on December 14.I am researching Vitamins..preparing.Trying not to stress out.Hoping to get a definitive confirmation from my insurance.My surgery date is Dec 28 tentatively. Can you drink a full glass of Water at once?Any pain?
  6. I just got mine last week...very happy..should have had that sleep study done definitely a few years back!!!
  7. Band placed in 2005...did fair for a while-- lost 110 then it seemed to stop working and I gained 60 back. Then over 2011 onward the fire backwash and reflux made my life miserable. FINALLY got the band out last spring and then gastric bypass on 11/9/15. Now I have NO REFLUX!!!! Recovery was a bit slow--way way exhausted!! So far down #21 and feeling good! Congratulations.Just saw 24 pk of premier Protein at costco.
  8. Same here...my paperwork was submitted just last week but I am scheduled by my surgeon for December 28th.Fingers crossed.
  9. Time goes by fast...I am scheduled for December 28...waiting for confirmation and official approval from insurance.My band port pain just recently ..so it is a mechanical failure!ugh.

  14. Inflammation is a big deal as a cancer survivor it is a comorbidy.Are you being treated for it with a physical therapist?It harnesses fluid and water retention.Obesity makes it worse.
