Frustrating :(
We'll get through this ????????

I'm having problems taking down my vitamins
Soon after surgery I couldn't stand the smell or taste of my chewable vitamins from Bariatric Fusion. I skipped about 10 days and then tried again. I'm doing better with them now though.

Trying fruits and veggies after surgery
At 4 weeks post op I am ok to have very soft cooked broccoli. I haven't had any fruit because I never have room for it during a meal. I honestly don't have any urge to eat in between meals at this time. I'm not sure how the skin of the grapes would set in my stomach and I think I would peel the cucumber before eating.

Frustrating :(
You and I have a lot in common ????

What's the longest period of time you were "stalled" ?
Kind of hard to embrace the stall when it's been about 3 weeks and I'm only 5 weeks post op.

What's the longest period of time you were "stalled" ?
Thank you all for your responses. I was sleeved 12/10, starting with a BMI of 40.2. I'm doing everything possible to be accountable. One thing that keeps me from tears, is the fact that I do continue to notice my body parts reducing in size. I have a love/hate relationship with that darn scale.???? I will take the advice to switch up my exercise routine & see if that helps. I want that euphoric feeling back of when I see that # on the scale move again. Thank you again everyone your support & suggestions are much appreciated.

What's the longest period of time you were "stalled" ?
This stall I'm having is approaching the 3 week point. I'm getting all my protein in, all my water & vitamins & exercise. I do feel like my body is deflating & shrinking but I just wonder how long this stall can last. ????

Liquid Protein
I have them in my fridge now. I purchased them to have on hand in case there was a day I didn't get all my protein in. I have only had one and I didn't care much for it. I had the watermelon flavor, it was very thick and sickening sweet, that coming from somebody who "had" a love of sweets. I had to mix it with water to get it down. An hour after I drank it I had awful stomach pains & had multiple trips to the bathroom.

Plateau or Danger Signs: What to Expect
4 weeks post op and currently stalled. Although I'm stalled, I am still shrinking & that's a good thing.

Missed Stall at 3 Weeks...Caught Me at 5 Weeks
I searched "stall" on here this morning because I am still at 198 since about 12/26, surgery was 12/10, starting weight 215. Very, very frustrating. I'm drinking 2 to 3 Syntrax Nectar protein drinks mixed with water daily, 23 grams of protein each. One other meal is 3oz lean protein. I'm well hydrated and taking vitamins, walking 2 1/2 miles 5 days a week. Still on restriction for strenuous exercise from hernia surgery. I do feel the difference in body size and can wear clothes I couldn't but I so want the number on that scale to move like it did immediately after surgery.

Hairless and vitamins
Check your multi vitamins to see if they contain Biotin. Just the other day I noticed that mine has it.

Adding Kale?
Thank you for the heads up.

Why is coffee bad for us ?
Really.... Funny I have heard it from quite a few. I'll look into that more.
-
Why is coffee bad for us ?
My NUT says decaf coffee only because any caffeinated beverage can increase the chance of dehydration.

Adding Kale?
I'm in Stage 2 post op diet, semi soft foods stage. Would Kale be considered a semi soft vegetable? I have been craving Kale with a little citrus spritz on it.

Flying while sleeved!
I don't fly as often as you but I can tell you that I am just 2 weeks post op and feel 100% healed. I'm not flying for another 4 weeks but I have no concerns at this point. Good luck on surgery day and best wishes for a fast recovery.

5 days post op sleeve
Chelsea Bean, I hope you feel better soon.

Difference between Liquid and Purée
My surgeon & NUT both do not require a puréed food stage. They both say if we have teeth in our mouth we can chew small bites to a puréed consistency. It's working out good for me.

New sleevers how are you doing
Don't be freaked out, honestly I am finding this journey to be easier than I ever thought it would be. Each day gets easier & easier.

Stupid question, should my stomach be really swollen ?
At 2 weeks post op, mine just now has no swelling at all but still a little bruising near one incision.

DR switched from Bypass to Sleeve right before surgery
I don't know this just sounds very odd to me. I would consult with another surgeon. I was told by my surgeon that the sleeve procedure what first used to help acid reflux patients.

having trouble with my food
How much are you eating? Are you stopping at the first feeling of fullness?
-
Have you asked? All Drs are not created equal
Like Balance stated I also feel very fortunate to have not had any complications. I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow. My surgery including hernia repair, my husband tells me was about an hour and 15 minutes. No nausea, dizziness, headaches, trouble swallowing, drinking or keeping fluids down. I hardly had to take any pain meds. My anesthesiologist mentioned in pre op that he would be giving me pain blockers during surgery that would keep me comfortable for the first 24 hours or so.
