  1. 8/24 IS MY BIRTHDAY!! I wish I was getting sleeved on my birthday lol.
  2. I've noticed the heavier a person is the faster they see results in big amounts. I'm 226 @ 5'4". I wanna get down to roughly 120 and im curious as to how long it'll take. (I'm pre op) ill definitely be following
  3. Swimming is great exercise! We go swimming a lot at the dam. Its only about 10 miles from my house so its a nice place to go with the kids the only indoor pools we have here are at the YMCA and at a hotel lol
  4. @@Cdominguez ill have to look into it! ???? @@LessOfMe0503 ill have to google and see if there's one close to me. That'd be perfect!
  5. No, there's a snap fitness but I cant do a gym. That's why were looking into a home gym. My headphone jack is busted on my phone so I usually let it play normal and tuck it in my bra so I can hear it lol
  6. We actually brought that up when I seen a cute retro bike at WalMart ???? we cant ride them in the winter though so we planned on investing in the spring since summer is almost over.
  7. I should start making a list of everything in gonna need to buy lol.
  8. @@Elode ???? haha! I've owned a treadmill and an elliptical. I used them occasionally but never stuck to it. I always got discouraged when I didn't see fast results. I ended up selling them when I moved. Atleast now I know if we get the home gym it'll really be benefiting me in multiple ways.
  9. @@rgodfrey09 I had no idea about the limit on protein absorption, I'm glad u said something! I'll definitely be asking my doctor what he recommends during this stage.
  10. I'll have to do the protein water and the isopure drinks. Atleast until I can do food with protein. I think that'll work wonders for me at this point lol.
  11. Why does it strictly say 3 cups of protein and 5 of water etc? Is there a limit?? I understand they want me to get in as much water as possible to stay hydrated but if I'm doing good on that why cant I stretch the protein out to 4 cups? Does it really matter?
  12. I'm pre op and browsing through the book my nutritionist gave me for my post op liquid phase during week 1 & 2. It says I should consume 8 cups/day of Fluid. 3 cups should be Protein shakes and 5 should be Water, crystal light, etc. How am I suppose to fit in 80g of protein in 3 cups? That's like a scoop of powder per cup of liquid...wouldn't that be disgusting and really...gritty? and thick? I feel like I'm missing something? id take a picture of the page but my phone wont let me upload pix.
  13. Yes we do, I've looked into it and their memberships are way to expensive for us. I'd rather spend that amount once, not repetitively to renew.
  14. LOL I hate buying expensive things though! I feel like I need a money blanket for security.
  15. I'd definitely get a gym membership but it wouldn't ever be used. I think I have a better chance at daily use if the "gym" was in my home. I work first shift, 40 hrs/week, and he works third shift 60+ hrs/week. My kids are only 5 & 6 so they aren't old enough to be alone and honestly we have no friends. We work and spend time with the kids. There for we have no one to watch the kids either. His fam lives in another state and my "mom" isn't mature enough to watch them, to say it nicely. So when it comes down to it its either home gym or no gym lol
  16. I'm contemplating on going out and buying a home gym. My surgery isn't until Jan but id like to start toning now and obviously use it after my surgery as well. I'm only 25 but one of my concerns is sagging skin. I've brought it up to my doctor and he said he doesn't see it being an issue because I have age on my side but I look at it like it'll maximize my weight loss also. My bf and I have been wanting to get a gym membership but with us working opposite shifts and having two kids we dont have time to go, plus he knows I'm embarrassed to work out publicly. Good idea? Stupid idea?
  17. I've noticed a lot of diabetics have to do it, what about people that aren't diabetic?
  18. My first appt with my doctor was end of July and my EGD is scheduled for mid September, surgery isn't till January.
  19. 110 cals 0 carbs 0 fat 0 sugar 25 Protein MGN isolate
  20. @@elrios1 I found a flavorless isolate in 5lbs for $30...is that an ok deal?
  21. I'm definitely gonna be investing in plain protein powder. I think its an extremely smart idea especially for people like us who live on it lol
  22. I'm actually pre op ???? I won't be having surgery till Jan 16'. It seems like forever to wait but it gives me time to do research and find out everything id ever wanna know good and bad about this surgery. Due to insurance I have to be on a six month supervised diet to make sure I can actually follow a strict food regimen like I will be post op.
  23. My doctor is based 1 1/2 hrs from me and he comes down here every other month so we go back and forth traveling...it makes me wonder if they could do the same for you. It sounds like you're better off doing self pay though even though its expensive so you dont have to wait long at all. I'd call and ask how they can help you. There's gotta be a way ❤
  24. We don't have a Costco but I wish we did. I've noticed a lot of members say its a good place to get things we need. We have a same club but its roughly 30 miles away ???? **Sam's Club**
