  2. I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't lose too much lol. I've been this size since about 13 years old and in 25 now. All of you ladies have come so far already! I'm so excited to be on the other side ????
  3. This is all great information. I'm glad I can get advice from all of you to help me understand what to expect and not to expect. I honestly just want two things. 1. To wake up and 2. When I wake up do not let me be in major pain lol.
  4. My bf thinks the same thing, I know how you feel and he doesn't talk about it either. I could talk about this all day because it makes me happy and excited. Itd be nice to have someone to share the excitement with, that's why I come here.
  5. Ahhhh!! Lol right now I'm a 38DD. I think if I'm small and have a C/D ill be ok..........maybe. Lol. I might have to invest in those stupid gel inserts for in my bra haha.
  6. After being sleeved and losing weight did any of you ladies lose your boobs? Lol. They're all fat so I'm assuming I'll lose something but I'm wondering how much lol I'd like to keep what I have if I can lol
  7. That's good to know that's an option. I will most definitely be asking him! Thank you Lexie
  8. I already know that's gonna be an issue for me cuz I'm a tummy sleeper ☹
  9. How do I fit in protein during the clear liquid stage? Or do I start protein after the clear liquid stage?
  10. That's good to know because my job is 10 1/2 hr shifts at a time so I cant go tired and end up getting hurt. The most I've heard about is the gas. I hope it all goes well so I'm able to get up and move around as soon as possible. have any of you been worried about ripping your staples? That's a huge fear of mine.
  11. I was wondering if we were able to use something of that sort! Thank you Debbie Jean ????
  12. This is one of my BIGGEST concerns. I'm anal about my hair lol.
  13. Hair loss isn't just caused by wls, it can actually be anything traumatic that has happened to your body. Such as, a car accident or child birth. I was researching this earlier and came across a members post from 2010. She said she didn't suffer from hair loss...she took 10,000mcg of biotin a day and also used a product called kitoko oil and kept up with her protein. She also said she colors her hair so it was chemically damaged and still didn't lose any. I hope this helps
  14. Haha bad breathe. I'll make a list of things to buy before I go in and ill definitely be adding flossies and mouthwash to it lol ????
  15. Thank you LAG4ahealthierme ???? I'm actually pre-op as well but I like coming on this side of the wall to see what to expect ???? I've heard about the gas and walking is the only way to get rid of it. I'm glad to hear walking dulls the pain. I had two 10lb babies natural but I still cringe at the thought of pain haha.
  16. Is there anything any of you amazing sleevers wish the doctor would have told you before hand that they didn't? also I'm scared of the pain ill be in after waking up....how bad is it? ????
  17. Also...sometimes I go over to post op and check out before and after pictures of members on here and it keeps me motivated ???? we all can make it far if we try http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/241042-before-and-after-pics/
  18. Thank you ???? just keep your head up and tell yourself "I can do this. I'm better than this". Another weakness of mine is lemon poppyseed muffins. Ugh. I love them lol. Were struggling together, so just know I'm here for support whenever its needed ????
  19. How did you handle cooking for them for the first couple months post op when u were eating puréed foods? Was it easier than u thought or did it take time to get used too?
  20. I have the same issues as you. Its an addiction. I've worried about this myself so I'll definitely be following your post. One thing I have noticed is some people that have already had the surgery say it doesn't bother them anymore. Food they used to crave and wanted badly doesn't even appeal to them anymore. Obviously we cant go along with this and assume it'll work the same with us but it can give u hope there's light on the other side. As for food addiction groups...there's NONE around where I live, I've looked into it. I suggest you check into it and hopefully there's one near you. You CAN do this. Trust me I know its hard but imagine how you'll look after everything is said and done. Youre SO close ❤
  21. I recently had my first appt with my doctor and he went over the "steps" of my surgery, pre-op and post-op. I know about the clear liquids, puréed foods, protein etc. I cant help but to keep thinking what kind of struggle in in for. I have two boys 5 and 6, and a bf...of course they are gonna be eating "normal" food while I'm on my diet and I'm the one who cooks for them and the boys while he's at work. Have any of you faced this? How do you stay strong and stay focused on your diet when you're in this situation? I'm scared I'll fail at this too, like every other diet.
