I am having surgery soon and want to get ready -- the products all come in large amounts and I don't want to buy the "wrong" one is there one that is the best? What about if you are diabetic?

I am new to the supplement world and not sure which powder I should invest in. I am also diabetic -- are they full of sugars too? They all seem to be fruity &/or chocolate???????
