  1. That is great!!!!!!! Wish I were going with you!!!!!!
  2. Actually, it is not just for those with fatty liver disease. My doctor requires it for every patient. I do not have fatty liver disease. As a matter of fact, my doc takes a biopsy of the liver while he is in there if he thinks it may have any kind of damage so that treatment, or just awareness, can be taken care of. Mine looked good so I did not have a biopsy.
  3. @@Sharon1964 i just gopt through reading your blog. i very much enjoyed it! thank you for sharing!!!!!! i wish you could do your yearly florida trip again... sounds like yall had a blast.

  5. i brought a robe to cover my butt when i walked, gas x strips cuz i heard they really help with gas, house shoes. i wore home the same clothes i wore up there. i also brought my phone charger and an extra pair of clothes just in case i needed them, which i did not. the hospital provided body wash and shampoo when i was able to shower.
  6. I remember them rolling me out of the room to head to surgery and being told I was about to get something to relax me in my IV. I was a goner right after that and next thing I know I was being rolled right in to my hospital room. I guess I woke up in recovery and don't remember it. I remember immediately feeling good .
  7. Can't wait to hear back from you and see how you feel!!!! Congrats on making a wonderful decision! You got this bro!!!!!!
  8. I knew you had to separate calcium from iron, but from your other vitamins too? I haven't been for three months!!!!!!!!!
  9. My docs goal for water for me was 30 oz. I struggled getting that. There is nothing wrong with sleeping. Your body is healing. Get your walking in..... Energy breeds energy. For goodness sake take your pain meds. Nothing wrong with that. I had not a single negative issue. I took my pain meds till I ran out. A lot of people refuse to take them. I'm not sure why but I sure as hell didn't want to hurt so I took them every four hours as prescribed. I did sleep a lot. I had no pain and felt really good.
  10. My insurance required 90 days of dieting and weight loss.
  11. No way!!!!! Who did your surgery? I had to go to Dallas due to insurance. How are you doing?
  12. Awesome! I will go buy some!! Thank you!!!!
  13. I cannot wait to see what my A1c is!!! Gotta admit if I am still diabetic I'm gonna be disappointed. I've only lost 33 pounds though. Not sure if that will do it.
  14. @ geeeeez!!! Did the vitamins help with hair growth? It didn't prevent more hair loss did it? Maybe I will give those a shot. I'm worried if I am losing hair at 9weeks what will it be like at four months????? Man I can't do without my hair!!
  15. @innersurfergirl what is your passion? Whatever it is, go for it! Life is too short.
  16. You go ahead and cry!!!!! It is so tough!!!!! You are 13 days in, how long do you have to do it? Just get tough girlfriend!!! You can do this. You are already passed the hard part. Sounds like you are rocking!!!!! I did pout and whine a lot hahaha but it wasn't all THAT bad. The time goes fast. I am soooooo happy that it is so much better this weekend. Great attitude! We are here for you!!!!!
  17. Gors into ketosis, not keypads Hahahahah.
  18. Make your mind up right now that you can do it. Mine was two of only liquids. No Soups, only broth. sugar free Popsicles saved my butt cuz I felt like I was eating. I drank ready to drink Protein shakes. Premier Protein were the best. They kept me full for the most part. To be honest, I dreaded the liquid diet for three months. I was really scared to fail. I will tell you it is the hardest part about this whole process BUT it was not anywhere as bad as I thought. Not even close. Shakes kept me full mostly and I had broth and Water and tea and coffee with no sugar or cream. You can do this. Lots and lots of us have done it and survived. I liked the saying above, "I put on my big girl panties". That is exactly right! I sucked it up and did it. It went by fast!!!!!!! The first two days are hardest and third day your body goes into keypads and your life gets easier!! Hang in there. We are here for you!!!!!
  19. I never went to get blood work. I'm not sure why. That was a month ago..... Maybe I needed to wait. Anyway, I do go Monday hahaha. For sure!!!! How are you???
  20. I cheated on my pre op. More than a slice of pizza I hate to say. I cheated 3 times. You will be fine, just stick to the plan from this point out. Be a good girl! Hahaha. You will get to eat soon enough.
  21. I agree with loopylulu. Or keep it in an app.
  22. Geez. I couldn't touch anything but clear liquids for two weeks. No protein shakes till week 3. I know right after surgery it was really tough getting in 30 oz of fluid of any kind. I can't imagine a shake.
