  1. my hair is still falling out a lot. it is really starting to thin and be noticeable. it just freakin sux. still worth the surgery though. i am using nioxin consistently and will see if that helps. i dont think it will. i think if you are going to lose it you are just going to lose it. i do get 100 g of Protein a day but i have for at least 3 months now.
  2. @@Susan66 i am telling myself the same thing. man, has it really thinned. it is not the end of the world and no one knows but me. it is ok for now. however, i have to wonder what if i keep losing at this rate for 2-3 more months? i guess i will deal with it if that happens. it started falling out at 2 months and i am now at 5 months. i know it is all worth it, but i really like having hair hahaha.
  3. never drank much Water before surgery. i have a hard time getting it in. i never get in 64 oz, although that is my goal. yesterday, i started just gulping it several times a day, as well as sipping here and there. i got in 50 oz. it felt like i drank an ocean. i am going to continue to strive for 64 oz because i know it is extremely important for weight loss. i just feel drowned out. i have done everything, even set a reminder every 15 minutes. hopefully my new crazy strategy will work
  4. Thank you for the advice. How much protein do you get? I am already at 100 g daily.
  5. i dont have any answers. i started my Vitamins 3 weeks before surgery. i have never had my hair fall out except when i used a prescription anti inflammatory cream on my neck. i do believe it is hormone related and i personally believe if it is going to fall out it is going to fall out. i have lost some, quite a bit, and it is not the end of the world because i know it will grow back. no one even can tell but me and my hair dresser. i am going to try a shampoo i read about on this thread. i will let you know if it works. i dont have any answers. i started my vitamins 3 weeks before surgery. i have never had my hair fall out except when i used a prescription anti inflammatory cream on my neck. i do believe it is hormone related and i personally believe if it is going to fall out it is going to fall out. i have lost some, quite a bit, and it is not the end of the world because i know it will grow back. no one even can tell but me and my hair dresser. i am going to try a shampoo i read about on this thread. i will let you know if it works.
  6. Thank you for the advice!!!!!!
  7. @@bee71 was yours falling out and it slowed down the loss??? @@Christinamo7 I am really sorry to hear that. Did it slow down the hair loss?
  8. @glittereyes I am losing so much. Honestly if it keeps at this pace for five more months I think I will be bald. 18 months? Holy cow!! I will order what you have and see if that helps. Thank you very much!!
  9. @glittereyes which collagen did you get from Amazon?
  10. It stops at 9 months????????? I think I may die!!!!! Mine started at about two months post op. I get 100 g of protein. Have Nixon. Tried biotin which was in viviscal vitamins. Get in my vitamins and calcium. I don't however get in enough water. I'm hanging in there, think the hair loss would stop at five months, which I am close to. I am pretty sure if it continues four more months I won't have any! I'm going to check into the collagen.
  11. I read to take dissolvable gas x strips. I didn't have had pains but could tell it was there. They helped.
  12. I make my coffee in my keurig. I then pour out about half of it. I put in half a scoop of max muscle vanilla protein (15g protein) and about an ounce or so of fair life milk (about 2 G protein if I remember correctly). I can usually drink all of that. It took me a while to figure out to pour out half of the coffee cuz I never could finish it and didn't get all the protein I put in. I put in my milk before the protein so that it cools some and the protein mixes easier.
  13. In my case I could not show a gain at all from one month to the next, actually, one NUT visit to the next. If I gained a pound I would have been denied.
  14. I have Aetna trs. From when my doctors office sent in paperwork to when I was approved was only a few days. I called after the third day to check on approval and the next day I was approved. Had I waited for the letter in the mail I would have waited two weeks.
  15. Oh man I'm so sorry! That really sux. Hang in there.
  16. Same thing here. I call it denial. I knew I was a little overweight. My neice got married over the summer. I dressed really nicely for it, new dress, shoes, fake eyelashes. I thought I was smoking hot!!!! When we got wedding pics back, I almost fell down. I totally grossed out. I could not believe how bad I looked. That and the diagnosis of diabetes pushed me to get weight loss surgery.
  17. I have Aetna TRS in Texas. Aetna covered, but has a $5000 co pay. I had the choice of a 6 month diet, etc., or a 90 pre surgery regimen, which basically is the same, but add exercise program supervised by your dietician, basically. You needf to call them and ask where to find the policy specifics about bariatric surgery. I can help you get through the policy as I spent lots of time figuring it out. We can compare it to my Aetna. and btw, my doctor only made me pay $2000 of the $5000 co pay.
  18. my insurance is with aetna and i started my journey in late july and had surgery november 17. i used victor gonzalez in dallas and they are awesome!!! also, john, at max muscle in rockwall is fabulous and is full of knowledge!!!!!
  19. i think it is pretty normal to pay the deductible in full before your portion kicks in. my deductible is $1000 and it went to my sleep study, which i ended up paying $1100. $1000 deductible and $100 for my 20%.
  20. Hi there @@Pea523! Hope you are well!! I was only diagnosed as diabetic in June of 2015. I am at doc appt and just took blood pressure. It is still high. Think it said 144/88 which is higher than normal.
  21. I had two c sections. Sleeve was much much easier. Soreness in stomach right after surgery reminded me of csection. Not painful, but soreness.
  22. I was sleeved four months ago and have lost 45 pounds, you have lost 60
  23. I only started all bariatric vitamins one month prior to surgery. I am losing hair.
  24. I have a list. I will dig it out and send it to you.
  25. @@Jennifer Ostermeier hi there! i cannot tell from your profile when, and if, you have had surgery. i assume you have. how far post op are you? i have found myself feeling very irritable occasionally. it usually only lasts several hours, and has only happened a few times. i feel for you. the best advice i can give is this: when you feel very irritated, remember your body is changing a lot! hormones are bouncing everywhere. take it as just part of the weight loss journey and dont go nuts on your family. just walk away, go outside, take a deep breath and get it together. your family does not deserve to be jumped on. i say that because i am preaching to myself as much as you. i have lost my temper when i should not have. it is not permanent. try focusing on the weight you will lose and how great you will look and feel this too shall pass my friend. keep us posted!
