  1. I must say again, I have told lots of people, as I am an open book, and I have not heard anything but very positive and encouraging comments. People check on me often and am happy for me. I consider myself very lucky and blessed!!!!
  2. Man those Christmas lights in the pic have been covered by snow long ago.
  3. Wait wait wait. I am jealous of you @sparticus414. You are by Houston!! Sorry Pea523 . Wow! That is incredible! Yes, I have an elliptical but have not been on it. Ok, everyone, scold me!!! I haven't walked in days. Bad, bad girl. Actually, I walked at the mall and shopping quite a bit so that counts for something. I really intended to spend my two weeks off really getting after it....... Hmmmm. I know I need to. I am so proud of you for doing so well! Wish we lived close so you could get my butt to go with you. I can actually start weights this week. Need to hit the YMCA tomorrow. You motivate me!!!
  4. @@Pea523 looks like about 6 inches at my house. I love it. Still snowing. I don't know if we have ever had this much. I am jealous of you being in Houston. Love the south. It was about 70 here friday and Saturday. Had to throw in a pic of my roses that bloomed a couple of weeks ago haha. How are things going for you? I was really concerned about getting 75-100 g of Protein but seems like it's going to be ok. Still really have to work on Water though. You a Texans fan? @@Dub they did great today!!!!!!
  5. Here ya go...... DFW support groups
  6. @@OKCPirate how's the weather up there? I have been allowed caffeinated coffee and tea the whole time. Just not lots of cream and sugar.
  7. If you look closely you can see my December roses I know...... It's just snow
  8. @@idahoteacher I was a teacher for 18 years I now work at our regional education service center. I support school districts software, other computer support, and PEIMS. I love my job. I was on Clear liquids for 2 weeks then liquids, including yogurt, Protein shakes for two more weeks. I cheated a little at 3 weeks but I did not want to hurt my stomach where it was stapled. Once I started on mashed potatoes and Beans, I had little bites of other food here and there, but soft foods, not meat. I would just be really careful and follow your doctors suggestions. Good luck to you!!!!
  9. I was 215 the day of surgery. I am now 192.9. YES I got a stall for about 12 days. I am losing again, not quickly like I was used to, but it's still moving so I'm happy. Yes, lots of babies but thank god it won't be me! Hahaha
  10. Mine was not 17th too! Glad to find you!? I bought several packs of flavored tuna . How have you done with surgery? Are you pleased with your loss?
  11. Midland. My dad lives in Abilene! Great talking to someone so close!!! I will stay indoors! And you are so right!
  12. I haven't forgotten about you .
  13. I'm at HEB witnessing the longest lines in a grocery store in my 50 years of living. I am in west texas and we get snow once, maybe twice a year. We are expecting a BLIZZARD tonight and tomorrow. Expecting 5-12" of snow. I know many of you northerners and easterners are laughing at that. You are right. We do not know how to handle it. A high of 30 tomorrow! I may not get out of bed. I so stocked up on lots of Proteins here at the store. Beef, chicken, lots of tuna, etc. sure is a different way of shopping. A good way . I am bad about getting stuck on eating the same stuff. I'm not creative. Sad face. I'll be looking at lots of posts to get ideas from ya'll. There is my Texan I hope each of you had a very wonderful Christmas ????????????
  14. Are you sure you are getting enough fluids???
  15. Congratulations! I can't wait to hear about your progress. You are on a great site
  16. I actually have a list. I will take a pic tomorrow and send it your way.
  17. I find I feel crappy if I don't get enough fluids.
  18. Voltaren gel is awesome!!!!!! It works miracles on my knees!!!!
  19. I hear ya sis! I have to get a lot of my Protein from Protein powder. I add unflavored to Soups, oatmeal, cream of wheat. I add vanilla to coffee. I got so tired of protein shakes too. I had ready to drink ones but my doc told me he had a lot of patients with a lot of issues with them. When I have them now, I make my own with fruit, protein powder, ice, and a little honey I do what I have to to get my protein in. Hang in there!!!
  20. Do you have fever? Find out. How did you feel at the hospital? Do you still have pain meds you can take?
  21. I have had.... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, yes 7 surgeries in the past 20 years and look, I'm still kicking! I have never had one single problem with anesthesia. You will be fine sweetheart!!!!!
  22. I agree with inner surfer girl. I had to crush mine for a couple of weeks.
  23. Stop worrying. Won't do you any good anyway. You will be fine. I had to do all the tests too and it all came out fine Good luck to you!!!
