  1. I too am sidetracked by the upcoming surgery on the 22nd. I am typically very hard working and dedicated, however, these days I can't seem to focus on anything but this surgery. I'm not worried about it. I fully understand everything involved but I can't stop thinking about it.
  2. Great thread as my husband just asked tonight on our evening walk how much I should be walking after surgery.
  3. I get Botox a couple times a year and love it. It feels like a sweat bee sting. Just kind of a like annoying poke. No pain really. You have red spots for a few hours and that's pretty much it. The total effect take a about a week. Besides its amazing work on wrinkles it will pretty much resolve any migraine issues too.

  5. Thank you. I can only tell cause a lot of my favorite jeans size 16 and 18 aren't fitting anymore. Bittersweet. I plan on upping my cardio. How far out are you? I haven't even had surgery yet. I am joining you all on this coming Tuesday the 22nd. I love seeing inspiring pictures like yours. Keep up the great work.
  6. You look amazing. I can tell a huge difference in your arms and shoulders. Keep up the great work. I hope I look this great.
  7. Hi there. You're right the diet isn't easy for sure.
  8. Order some Unjury protein. The chocolate is amazing.
  9. Hi there. I have surgery on the 22nd also!!!! What type are you having? I should add that I am jealous that you have a short pre op diet. I have been on it almost two weeks now.
  10. Oh how I miss my diet cokes. I had stopped them prior to the pre-op diet but found I had a horrible sugar withdrawal headache. It stuck around for two days. Once it passed I have been great.
  11. I have been wondering the exact same thing!
  12. Awesome toasty I wondered how you were doing!
  13. @theonltwayla it really does get easier but man I would love just a bit of something crunchy. My mood really improved after day 4. I'm not that hungry anymore although I do claim to be starving at times its more so wanting something to eat besides broth and Protein shakes. You're right, you got this!
  14. The beginning of the pre op diet is the worst. On day 2 1/2 I thought I wanted to cry because I was so hungry. Then on days 3 and 4 I had the WORST headache. Day 5 was a magical and wonderful day. I woke up to no headache and no longer seemed hungry. From there it really does get easier. We all mess up a bit. I was at an event over the weekend and decided to just carry a glass of wine around so people would stop offering. It seemed like a good plan but twice I found myself sipping it. I felt guilty but it tasted so good haha. Just try to stay focused and not be too hard on yourself. These are life long habits we have created and they can't be changed instantly.
  15. Welcome! This is an exciting time for sure. My surgery date is 9/22. The Bariatric Pal site is amazing. So many helpful people all on a similar journey. Please keep us all posted!
  16. How much of the syrup do you add. I just tried it tonight and let's just say 4 pumps was WAY to much.
  17. I actually really like the Unjury chicken soup too. I mix it with chicken broth or water. It makes me feel like I am actually getting food of some sort.
  18. The 3rd and 4th day are the worst. Drink some water or even an ice tea. It will get better.
  19. @@ChunkyChocolate days 3 and 4 were rough but it really does get better.
  20. Yes that is so true! The liquid diet headache is officially gone today! I feel like I can see the finish line or would it be the starting line.
