Outside of being healthy, what are you looking forward to most...
Yes!!! Thus causing what my best friend and I like to call the FGS (Fat Girl Syndrome) of chafing where the thighs have been rubbed raw....ouch!!!

Definitely sports games/concerts/plays...the seats are so tiny and it has gotten rather embarrassing so I don't go nearly as much as I used to. I also would like to not always being avoiding the topic/changing the subject when it comes to amusement parks or Water parks. I am going to add that I want to be able to play co-ed softball again. As of a couple years ago I just could not play to the best of my ability and would be dying of pain the next day. Oh oh ohhhh, and I would love to step on an electronic scale and it not say the word "ERROR"

How did you guys do the 2 week/1 week liquid only diet?
I hadn't thought about a naked pic, but I do look at myself naked in the mirror every morning and that is one daily motivator right there lol. On a smaller scale, today marks 8 days pre-op diet with 12 to go. I have found that chewing bubble gum here and there helps to alleviate some of the psychological feelings of wanting to bite into something. It really has helped me.

Did you name your sleeve?
Hmmm...maybe I'll have to name mine Sleeve McQueen

Did you name your sleeve?
I saw someone on Facebook had named it her little Sleeven Tyler. That cracked me up.

Finally got my surgery date! August 17th
That's awesome @@Margie122 ! My home and work life have been so incredibly hectic that I've not really accomplished the amount of exercise that I want to but other than that I am feeling a difference in the way my clothes are fitting and hunger has diminished significantly! I never thought I would take a few bites of veggies or anything and be done.
-
How am I ever going to get thru this liquid diet ?
Yes I agree that the hunger drops significantly! I am on a 3 week liquid pre-op diet, today marks the beginning of the second week. However even with my doctor calling it a liquid diet I am allowed vegetables. Even when I go to snack on veggies when I'm feeling especially hungry, I don't eat nearly as much as I might have otherwise. A few bites and I'm done now. I am trying to wean down to not needing the veggies at all. You can do it! It seems so hard at first but it does get easier. Keep your eye on the prize!

struggling with liquid diet (August 5th surgery)
I started my liquid pre-op diet last Monday. Last week went by pretty well, but this weekend was go go go. I am allowed veggies along with my liquids so I snacked a lot on carrots and broccoli and such this weekend because we were on the road from Friday until late last night. We ended up staying with family overnight on Saturday so I had a little scrambled eggs in the morning for Breakfast as I did not have my Protein. Justified it to myself as I am allowed to have egg drop Soup so I thought one scrambled egg would not be the end of me I sure hope not. Ugh....two more weeks to go until surgery.

struggling with liquid diet (August 5th surgery)
That's another good idea. I've been trying to drink mine on the way to work and they still lose their coolness. I have just been doing ready-to-drink shakes right now. I haven't switched just yet to mixing my protein powder in and making my own.

Yeah, it's a way to get the Protein in other than shakes. It works much in the same way that Crystal Light does. Just put the powder in your Water. Ordered some cherry yesterday and it's on its way.

Finally got my surgery date! August 17th
Sodas for me have been so hard to give up. I just want a coke lol. But I have substituted those moments by Water with my little grab-n-go Crystal Light. Hoping to soon substitute my Crystal Light powder with Syntrax nectar.

struggling with liquid diet (August 5th surgery)
You can do this @garbekr0118 Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. It's like we tell others, we must tell ourselves too, this is not the easy way out. I think you will find around here everyone cheated here or there, but don't beat yourself up about it. You confront the problem head on and push forward. If you absolutely feel you aren't ready then reschedule it and work up to the point when you are.

Any August Sleevers?
I had been on a Top Chef kick on Hulu and binge-watched like up to the 4th season. I started watching the other night and had to cut that off real quick lol

struggling with liquid diet (August 5th surgery)
I am going to have to try and stick my shake in the freezer. Sounds like that could work. The worst part in the morning for me getting it down right now is the consistency and temperature.

Apples and Peanut Butter was like my favorite snack!!! I hope I go pretty early in the morning as well.
