  1. I was sleeved August 25th. I have lost 20 lbs since surgery, was stalled for 2 weeks and that was weird not seeing the scale move at all. But the scale is moving again and Im happy about that. My energy level is back to normal, I walk at least 2 miles 4 times a week. Had my 5 week post op appt today and was release to do some strength training. I don't regret my decision to have this surgery. But sometimes its hard to get all my liquid and protein in and sometimes I just want to eat like I use to. So this is definitely a lifestyle change. And Im glad I can come on here and get very useful information.

Just left my 1 week post op appt. Down 13lbs since surgery. YAY me!!! I also moved to phase 2 which includes soft and pureed foods. Excited to see what this new me can tolerate. And I can increase my cardio. Still no abdominal workouts or weights.

How long till you can lay on your tummy?

I was sleeping on my side at the hospital just fine. Got home yesterday and now I have to put a small pillow under my stomach to sleep on either side. I can sleep on my stomach but I wake up every time I need to change positions. So everyone is different. I never could sleep on my back, I feel like I'm suffocating.

    I GOT APPROVED!

Congrats on the approval. And I understand the nervousness, its like wow it just got real. But if you are like me this process has taken awhile. I had to go through a six month supervise diet program. Which help me prepare and research all the information I can about the sleeve. I'm still nervous but I know this is right for me. And any weight I lose is much better than the weight I am now. This forum also helps to answer any questions you might come up with. Good luck and stay positive it will work out.

    Any August Sleevers?

My surgery is scheduled for the 25th and I'm on day 5 of 7 of my pre op liquid diet. I think I'm afraid to cheat. I don't want to sabotage my surgery. I also really think that taking my post op vitamins and calcium now helps. Good luck to you. You can do this!!! We got this!!!

@@ABetterMe1210 because of the 20pd weight limit for the first 4 weeks, I'm not able to go back. How have you been doing since your surgery? Are you feeling ok to go back to work this soon? Do you sit at a desk or walk and stand on your job? Praying for a speedy recovery for you.

    All August Sleeves

Pre op diet is a challenge. I work 12hrs day so its a little more difficult when I'm there. Im staying strong. Go to the refrigerator for a shake and its all this other stuff in there for the family. I just want a taste of something that I can chew. I had to do the 6 month diet also. I think it was worth it. It prepared me for eating healthy. We are so close, we got this. Praying for you.

My surgeon recommended ProCare Bariatric chewables which are pretty reasonable. Calcium is Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chewy bites 500mg a piece. They are pretty expensive but they are good and come in different flavors. Protien shake, I get Premier they are ok but better when they are cold.

    August 25th Sleevers!

I think the hyperness is from the date getting closer. I am experiencing this now. On my pre op diet they want you to have a minimum of 5 Protein shakes. So I space them every 3 hrs and it seems to be working. I also started taking my Vitamins which includes Vitamin B1, bariatric one a day vitamin and Calcium 1500 a day. They also recommended getting Biotin its suppose to help with hair lost. Good luck.
