  1. Sleeved on 7/21 ... Left side taken 7/12, right side taken 11/19. Down 72 pounds so far. ????
  2. Cornish hen, puréed cauliflower and maybe green beans for me. Hubby will want ham, potatoes, yams and corn, so we'll fix a variety. Already reminded him we can fix it all, but not in the giant quantities we usually have. It helps me that our son and his wife also have been sleeved, and their family will be our only guests this year.
  3. Centrum makes a chewable with iron. Orange flavored and not horrible
  4. Band to sleeve revision 7-21-15
  5. Are you able to go for walks outside? You're dealing with an awful lot, but if there is any sort of physical activity you can do, it will help. My other nonfood go-to for relaxation and peace of mind is a nice long bubble bath. I've also been attending OA meetings to help with my head hunger/food addiction issues. Having a fellowship of people who understand the struggle is very helpful for me. Please don't be too hard on yourself. You've been through too much and need to take time to grieve!
  6. My progress ... Band to sleeve on July 21st.
  7. I've told my closest friends and family , but very few people at work. I had the revision from band to sleeve 4 weeks ago. So far so good. Today, after a pretty stressful day at work, when walking out, I was commiserating with a colleague who doesn't know. Her advice was to go home, have some chips and salsa and a glass of wine and everything would be better. I guess that's what I get for not telling people. I just laughed it off and said maybe I'll play with the dogs instead!
  8. Following as I'm interested as well
  9. Thank you for sharing ... I'm only 3 weeks post op with my band to sleeve revision. I'm not nearly as concerned with losing the weight as I am with keeping it off. Will save your advice!
  10. Each time I was tempted to eat solids during the liquid phase I reminded myself how good it would feel to not cave. It was tough, but it was so worth it!
  11. I had to have our local grocery store order it for me special
  12. Hello! Mine was 48.5 I'm only 3 weeks post-op (Revison band to sleeve). My surgeon and I didn't discuss goal weights, but my regular dr and i have discussed it. I would love to get to 150, but he thinks 175 would be more reasonable and comfortable. I'm 5'7", starting weight 310.
  13. I didn't ... I wonder if they'll keep it for you if you ask though....
  14. Hot and sour soup at HuHot (broth only since I'm only one week post-op). It was delicious!!
  15. I didn't have a specific brand to eat/drink, but what got me through was that I kept telling myself I could do anything for / weeks. I was so afraid of not shrinking my liver enough to have it laparoscopically! I'm day 8 post-op (band to sleeve revision) and it's getting better each day! Hang in there!!
  16. My lap band to sleeve revision was on Tuesday the 21st. Went home from hospital on Friday. Had planned to go back to work today after my checkup, but I am super tired, partly due to some internal bleeding. My dr agreed I should wait until Monday to go back, even though I also have a desk job. Grateful to be able to rest a few more days!
  17. me too ... Starting weight 296 current weight 288.
  18. Way to go!! What does NSV stand for though?
  19. I had band to sleeve revision one week ago today. A few people at work that I'm close to only know I had the band out. Only my two closest friends at work know the whole story. Eventually I might tell more people at work but I just didn't want their opinions and close scrutiny. Many that I work with are young and very very healthy and have no idea what I've struggled with my whole life and I don't think they'd even understand. Besides all that I don't want them to worry
  20. Keg testing sounds more fun lol
  21. Yes I was advised not to use a straw to avoid excess air...
  22. just confirmed tomato soup is ok since it's a cream soup and I made it with milk. Every program is different, though, so it's best to check with your own dietitian to be sure.
  23. Will ask my dietitian tomorrow...maybe I shouldn't be having it...
  24. I can have cream soup so I assumed so ... Made it with milk so it's not as acidic.
