Is there anyone planning on have Bariatric surgery in Tijuana Mexico in December of 2015 before the holidays?

They did. I think it's harder for people to critique something you have already done - especially when you have been working hard and they have been praising your efforts to be healthy.
It would be hard for them to say they are proud of your efforts except the surgery

I am having surgery on September 9th. I return to work on September 21st. Well that is my plan. My Dr. said she will see, my employer said they need me back by that day. This is going to be a fun ride.
I work at a college and Fall classes begin on September 21st, that is why my employer said that.

I was sleeved on 8/4 around 2:30 pm and I was home 8/5 by 2pm. I was not in any pain. I did walk a lot that night . My nurse kept saying are u going to sleep any. I took pain meds one time in the hospital but they made me really sick ! So I told the nurse not to give me anymore ! I have not took any kind of pain meds at all since I been home. I have had very little gas. I am having buyers remorse ! All I keep saying is what have I done! I want some pizza so dang on bad!

Hi RN here I was sleeved on July 13 and went back to work July 27. I did not tell my co-workers about my plans. I work in a Psych hospital on a intensive care unit and we are always busy with codes you name it. Im down 30 lbs so far and I feel great. When I went back I was still on full liquids so the pre made Premier Protein shakes came in handy

Beginning of the month weigh in. Down 73 pounds! I was 275 at my wedding and I weighed in at 273 today . This is the smallest I have been in a long time!

Too funny you ask!!! As I finally told my boss today, and asked for a week off. She said she will give me 10 days to 2 weeks off, and is extremely supportive. I have only been at my job for 3 months!, Maybe be honest to them and they will give you a few more days off hon.

In one of the emails I was sent it says that you guys do in house financing which requires half down, with a valid driver's license and a credit card. Do you guys have that up and running?

I have a debit card for my HSA account, I tried to make a payment with it but it was denied since we pay through paypal. How did you get around that? TIA

If anyone has any questions about it, PM me. It was easier to do it that way than it would have been if it had been covered on my insurance. I'm glad I did it this year, though, because for 2013 the IRS is only letting you put up to $2500 in the account instead of $5000.

I'm almost 2 yrs post op and I went to Mexico for my VSG 8/31/13. I'm down 177lbs!!!!!! I'm maintaining I'm so happy I found this site which lead me to my doctor and many friends I've met along the way. VSG works!

December 2013 (day I started preop diet) vs December 2014. I'm 19 months out now but look the same as 12 months post (with the addition of a new tattoo)

September 2013 ( 3 months before surgery) vs September 2014 (9 months postop and 10 pounds below goal

Still 14 pounds from goal but very happy with my current size.
