  1. Getting on a plane without the constant dread of having to ask for an extender or even worse, be asked to purchase another seat. I've never been asked to purchase a second seat but after the whole fiasco with Kevin Smith being asked to purchase a second ticket- I am so scared it's going to happen!
  2. I made scrambled eggs at 2 weeks post off when I was in the puree stage... no problems!
  3. Wow! That is awesome!!!
  4. I was also told I couldn't have them for a while due to the seeds. I can't remember how long but I think 3 or 6 months.
  5. I drank only 4 protein shakes and drank tons of water during mine. My shakes were 160 calories a peice. So I would have been around 600 calories.
  6. Your true friends will want the best for you. They will support what brings you happiness and they will celebrate in your successes. A friend who doesn't do that is merely a jealous aquaintance.
  7. The itching is such a pain! Took everything I had not to go scratching! I had surgical glue on my incisions and I was so glad when it finally came off!
  8. Ugh. So sorry to hear that! I can only imagine how frustrating that would be! Wishing you a speedy recovery on the ankle so you can get back on track for your sleeve! !
  9. I started my two week liquid diet on May 27th and was sleeved June 10th. It has been six weeks since beginning the liquid diet and I am 54lbs down. I did a side by side comparison today and I am already loving the results!
  10. Thanks! I am going to a music festival in a couple weeks and trying to think of things I can take to keep my Protein intake up but will probably try to rely on my Protein shakes since I can take them in with me. Making good choices is hard enough without being in event grounds surrounded by food trucks lol At least someone always serves chicken on a stick!
  11. We are headed to a festival in town and then to see some fireworks. Nothing too exciting Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
  12. Anyone have any input on their experiences trying nuts? How far post op were you when you gave them a try? Did they give you any trouble? I love nuts and a good source of Protein... but I just began eating solids and am a little leary of trying something THAT solid. Any feedback would be great!
  13. Hello Brandon and welcome to the forum! I was just sleeved a little over three weeks ago... I also went through the "huge mistake" phase and shed plenty tears of frustration! Glad you are feeling better though and it will keep getting easier from there! Best of luck to you on your journey!
  14. You look great! So happy for you and the great success you are having!!!
  15. My pain subsided significantly about every 2 days. My pain was nearly gone in a week or just over a week I'd say. I am at about 3.5 weeks and finally starting to feel "normal". Hang in there, it gets better with each passing day. I cried several times in the beginning out of frustration and went through the "I made a huge mistake" phase. But now, I am feeling good and totally thankful I've done this!
  16. sleep apnea is usually considered a reason for surgery from the insurance stand point... especially as it is a co-morbidity if your BMI alone does not make you eligible for the surgery per your insurance. But I see you are scheduled and ready to go so all is well Good luck to you on your surgery!
  17. I am just getting started on this journey and am only 3 wks post op but my dietician has a year schedule for me. It is suggesting 1,000 calories at the 1 year mark. Though, that is probably subject to change.
  18. I was tired during the pre-op diet and straight up exhausted for the first couple weeks after surgery... I got out of the shower and just felt completely spent from taking a showing. Hopped right into bed lol But I am just over three weeks out and back to work and feeling pretty decent. I am also 51lbs down so my feet have stopped hurting and I just feel better. I am not feeling "full of energy" but am feeling so much better.
  19. A phenomenal transformation! You look fantastic!
  20. So sorry you are having such nausea! I also don't really have much advice but just wanted to offer up some support. I really think once you recover from the gall bladder that hopefully things will get a bit easier for you! I really hope things start to improve for you soon!
  21. You are doing great!! Keep up the great work!
  22. I had no pain meds in the hospital and didn't take them at home either. I had some morphine right after they brought me out of surgery but then I spent 36 hours in the hospital with zero pain meds. If you are comfortable without them, I don't see why you couldn't quit taking them. I was struggling to sleep at night because I am belly sleeper so I took a couple for the first couple nights just to be able to sleep... I prescribed vicodin and it knocks me out!
  23. I struggled with this as well. I am three weeks post op and probably just beginning to get the right amount of liquid! I think I spent a lot of time under estimating how many ounces fit in my sleeve. It gets easier though!
  24. I drink the Premier shakes... I get them at costco. They are pre-mixed so it takes away from the awful texture that Protein powder often has. That is what I used to get through my two weeks! Day 1 and 2 were the WORST for me. By day 4 I wasn't feel hungry.... I had crazy cravings but the hunger subsided. Hang in there cause its worth it in the end... I dropped 26lbs in 2 weeks!
  25. I am just over three weeks out. I don't have any pain but I do still struggle with knowing when I cam full. I don't feel any hunger so I have to remind myself to eat! But I met with my nutritionist last week and I described to her that I stop eating as soon as my stomach does "anything".... not meaning gurgle though as I believe it will be normal for the stomach to do a lot of that from what I am reading from others. At three weeks, I can still eat very little. I ate a little bit of cottage cheese and a few bites of fresh peach the other day and that was the first I could def feel my fullness.
