1 year just flew by... so happy with my deicision!

My weight starts with a "2" for probably the first time in 15+ years.

A close family member was helping me clean out my closest/dresser to get rid of clothes that were too big, when they remarked "you need to keep your biggest pair of pants and a shirt just so you can remind yourself to never do that to yourself again!" Perhaps my thick skin is thinning out with the rest of my body, but that comment just about set me off.

Had set a goal on wanting to hit 100 pounds lost by Christmas... needed to get down to 325. Knew early in the week it would be hard to get there, so I dreaded stepping on the scale all day. Got on late last night and was 325.2, so I'm rounding down and claiming victory!

Became so upset with a customer service rep, I swore at them over the phone... not my finest moment. Taking breaths and calming down as it's going to be a great turkey day with my wife an kids. Have a lot to be thankful for tomorrow, and it's easy to forget that at times. Will deal with T-Mobile after the weekend.

6 Weeks post-op today... 46 lbs down since the morning of surgery., 67 lbs down since pre-op diet. Still don't feel like I see a change in the mirror, though people say they notice one. The mental part of this journey can often be the most difficult to control.

@dlappjr - Thanks man, appreciate the support! I do feel it in my clothes, but I have so much to lose, I know it's just going to take some time before I really start to notice it in the mirror.
@beachgal2935 - I intended to, but things were so hectic the days leading up to and directly after surgery that I forgot to get some before pics. At 3-weeks I took some pictures, and did it again today. I figure I'll take some again at 2 months, and then maybe monthly from then on. I went to Chicago last weekend with my son for a hockey tournament and my parents met us there. It was the first time in years that I let anyone take pictures of me... so I feel I'm getting there mentally.

Just curious, have any of you heard of or used the "Squatty Potty"? It not,, basically, it is footstool that you place directly underfoot while you are sitting on the toilet. It is supposed to facilitate taking care of business efficiently. It definitely does what it claims to do. I am wondering if it might minimize the likelihood of needing a laxative and, if not, facilitate its action. I bought one recently and was so amazed by its effectiveness I sent one to my brother!
