  2. I had gastric sleeve in July 2015 and in January 2016 I joined a gym. I hate going, getting ready and working out! However, I made this my job to go 3 times a week, Tues, Thurs and Saturdays. I battle every Tues, Thurs and Saturday to come up with reasonable excuses of why I cant go. I decided that If I cannot come up with an excuse that truly outweighs the benefits of spending ONE hour at the gym, I will go. Low and behold, I have NEVER missed a day! My favorite quote: "Change Nothing and Nothing Changes" this rings so true with me. Good Luck!

  5. I am 5 months out and have finally feel like i have "divorced" rice, Pasta and breads. These are foods I used to crave, but these made me feel sick and eventually I just stopped eating them and I don't crave them. It takes time. Hang in there and focus on the foods you like and can eat, Beans, veggies, chicken. I do believe it is a process and you need to give your mind and body time to heal from the way you used to eat.
  6. I went back to work after 2 weeks (desk job)....I would recommend to anyone no less than 3 weeks. I was exhausted.

  8. I used a heating pad for the shoulder pain....it worked wonders for me!
  9. I was sleeved on July 20th....it took me three weeks of exhaustion, barely being able to sipping water/fluids, while eating protein shakes, jello, frozen sf Popsicles . I promise, it will get much better.....every day you are getting closer to feeling much better. Hang in there! I now eat everything that I should lots of protein, no bread, I feel great, you will too.....if you're going through hell...just keep going!

  16. I am three weeks out and my energy level is so low, I am exhausted after every shower, walk, etc.....please tell me it will get better! I eat and drink as dr ordered and take all my vitamins. I'm discouraged. How long until you felt your normal energy return?
  17. My nutritionist told me that if I just can't stomache another protein drink, it is fine to skip a day. It worked like a charm. I think it took the pressure off, plus she said she doesn't want it to feel like punishment.
  18. I put some hydrocortisone cream AROUND the incision....it was a nice relief!
  19. It is he'll to get through the first week, I promise, it does get better! Rest, sip, meds, rest, sip, meds.....repeat

  22. Hi there, I am 13 days out and can honestly say what you are going through is completely normal, although it doesn't make it easier to hear. Sip water and sip some protein shakes all day long, rest and tomorrow and each day will get better!

  24. I have decided early on in this process, I am not ashamed of my decision. I am 6days out and my family and close friends are aware of my decision. Now for the "others" who will probe and ask questions, I don't know how I will respond, but I believe the truth will set me free!

  27. Hello all, I was sleeved on 7/20, this week I am calling these past few days hell! Today I am finally not in pain with every sip of water, it is getting a little better. I have to believe I am getting less nauseaus and stronger every day. This is not easy.
