Hungry after being full?
Okay, ever since I started the puréed diet and soft diet, I have noticed that once I eat, I feel the restriction but I'm still hungry at the same time! Could it be head hunger? Because it's been every darn meal!!!! It's like, I can physically feel my stomach full, but I'm starving at the same time... UGH.... On another note, my doctor told me that I had an extremely large stomach (much larger than average), so it would take a while for my stomach juices to adapt to the new size... Maybe that's causing my false hunger? ????

Smoking & PreOp cheating
One cheat meal won't hurt you, my diet was liquid for 7 days with ONE cheat meal before the liquid diet. But after that, I was back on the diet (and I was very strict). So your liver should be fine. As for the smoking, that might be a big no-no. I heard smoking and slow down your healing process. Not to mention that you'll have extremely weak lungs after surgery. So I'd reallyyyy talk to your doctor about this. :-/

Have you ever tried Teavana?
Yep!!! I'm a huge Teavana fan. I had some a couple of days ago and I did fine. (I'm almost 3 weeks post op) However, my NUT said if you are dehydrated, stay away. Once you up your fluids, you can start drinking tea!

Acid Reflux
I have not taken any medicine, I'd like to get on one though..... Because the acid is starting to confuse me with hunger ...... When I know I'm not hungry... Ugh!

Acid Reflux
I have it too, so I'm trying to figure out what's causing it. So far, I've realized that anything with "citric acid" (which is in most drinks, lol) is causing either heartburn or acid reflux....... Today I'm sticking to only Water to see if that helps. Oh PS: I'm two weeks and 4 days post op.

First couple of days on solids... But...
I've been on solids for about three days and so far, I've eaten fish and some chicken. However, I've noticed that I'm not feeling full until about 30 minutes after I eat. Mind you, I'm only eating about 1.5 ounces per meal, but the only feeling I get is that once I reach 1.5 ounces, I start to burp and feel the food in my throat (no pain, it just feels weird like I'm throwing up) Does that mean I'm full? Even if I don't feel it yet? I think 1.5 ounces of meat is too low but I think my body is saying STOP. Anyone experience this?

Chocolate cravings and dreaded PMS
Have you tried sugar free chocolate popsicles? Those are pretty tasty!

Talk Clothes and Style to Me!
I think I'm going to wait a little while before I buy new set of clothing. I'd like to wait until I reach my goal weight, that way I don't waste too much money on buying clothing I may only use for a couple of weeks. However, I will most likely buy some clothing just so I have stuff to wear. Wouldn't want to look sloppy! As for style, I don't think I want to change the way I dress because I haven't changed my personality! (Or I hope not, hehe). I will most likely stay with my same style

Question Re: Eating/Drinking 30:30 Rule
Yes, 30/30 applies to puréed food! When I take my protein supplement, I try to stay away from liquids, but once it a while I'll take a small sip of water to help bring down the shakes.

Massive pain !
Yes, seek medical attention. However, I also had the same pain on day 6 and it turns out it was just gas (and a lot of it too!). It was so strange because it came out of no where. Either way, everyone is different so I still strongly suggest you go to an ER.

Water with meals ?
From what my doctor said, could be because Water can fill you up faster, or it pushes food down faster, not giving your body enough time to absorb nutrients.... Something along those lines His rule is, no drinking 30 minutes before AND after eating.

Pain around lower left shoulder blade?
Yep! It's gas! I had it for about a week after surgery. It was very painful to the point where I started crying! Only way to get it out of your body is to walk, walk, walk! Trust me! Feel better soon! ????

Anyone tried Celebrate vitamins
I purchased the vitamins because I thought they were easier to take. They are flavorless, compared to most multivitamins so I thought it was a good investment. Boy was I wrong! I took the first capsule, and it struggled to go down.... I literally felt every movement that capsule made in my tummy. Today, I decided to try again, and up it came! Guess I can't keep them down..... Trash they go!

Turned off by food you used to like?
I'm only two weeks post-op, but for some strange reason, I cannot stand the smell of homemade popcorn! I used to make it often and the smell of it never bothered me. Now I just want to puke! Can't even imagine what it will taste like once I'm off of the "soft" diet...

First full day home from surgery!
I was not on catheter, however I did have problems peeing the day after surgery. Not sure of the name of the medical equipment used on me, but they used a device that determined how much urine was "stuck" in my body. Unfortunately, I was retaining too much liquid but could not pee. They stated that I either drink more liquids and move, move, move.... Or a catheter it goes. So I increased my intake and walked around the hospital for about an hour and was able to urinate. That was the last time I encountered that issue. Thank goodness! Hope this helps!

Not getting enough protein..
Hello! I was sleeved on June 3rd with an excellent recovery. However, I'm not meeting my daily intake (70g of protein). I am usually hitting about 40g of protein per day. As much as I'm trying, I am still not meeting the daily requirement. Is this dangerous for my health? Will I starve to death? I'm so worried!
