  1. Yep! I'm two months and have already lost a cup... Ugh! C to B
  2. Unfortunately I can't stand diet drinks or "zero sugar" drinks so I am forced to stick with water
  3. They have 7g of protein but are these considered slider foods? Would you recommend them?
  4. I developed that during week 1. Very painful. I noticed that when I slept on my tummy, I was able to burp some of the gas out.... Not sure if that helps. Keep walking though
  5. My doctor said that left shoulder pain indicates trapped gas. Keep walking around!
  6. Oh by the way, I'm 7 weeks post op
  7. Okay, is it possible that our metabolism can change after surgery? I seem to be going to the restroom almost every day! I'm not complaining but damn! I'd be so happy if it was possible for our metabolism to change!
  8. Oh my!! I definitely had them!!! Though I would wake up depressed, thinking I actually messed up my diet! I've had pizza dreams and soda ..... Thank goodness it was just a dream Good thing about these dreams is that when I was having them, I knew what I was doing was bad..... So this tells me that even when I'm unconscious, I feel bad about eating unhealthy food! Yay!
  9. Yep! I have it daily so I take Zantac daily. Best thing ever! Controls all the acid reflux pain!
  10. I have been taking Zantac for a month and it has done WONDERS! Yay, no more heartburn/acid reflux!! However, last week I found that HEB is also selling their own version of Zantac (same active ingredients) wayyyy cheaper! Zantac is priced $9 for 24 capsules while the HEB Brand sells for $6 for 130 capsules. I'm wondering if anyone has tried them so far? I've been on them for about a week and feels just like Zantac, except that I'm burping the pill for about a couple of hours (gross).
  11. Don't wait too long! I would say after the 5th day if you're not going....
  12. Same thing happened to me! Called my doctor and he told me that I was so dehydrated, that my body was sending mix signals and that's why my stomach was growling. I immediately doubled my fluid intake and the growling and hunger pangs went away.
  13. I'm only 6 weeks post op so I haven't lost any hair (but I know it's coming.... Ugh). My sister did the surgery last October and started losing her hair 3 months post op..... And let me tell you, she lost A lot of hair... However, once she hit 6 mo the, her hair started growing again and now it's super thick!!
  14. I know that our scars heal quickly, but I'm talking about our inside wounds .... I'm back at work (5 weeks post op) and I still feel slight discomfort when working. When will it feel normal to bend down, exercise, and feel normal on our insides?
  15. A wonton wrapper is made of bleached flour..... I would say maybe drink the broth but no wontons :-/
  16. Milk of magnesia always does the trick for me.... Longest I went without going was 7 days.... Took 3 tablespoons and BAM.... Literally lol
  17. I'm so worried. I'm one month post op and decided to go swimming at a family event. I had my scars well covered up, but I felt a huge discomfort in my tummy... As if all my organs were floating in my abdomen area. So now, I have a huge pain in my biggest incision, just as if I were back to week one pain. OUCH!! I can't even move... What have I done??? ????
  18. I use it for my protein shake.... Bumps up my protein!!! (32g for 8 oz!)
  19. Correct, ANY liquid counts as your liquid intake
  20. I use chocolate isolate whey (20g protein per scoop) and Moo-Topia Milk (from HEB, our local grocery store) and that contains 12g of protein. So each shake is about 32g for an 8 oz. beverage
  21. You're either dehydrated or are developing too much acid. Same happened to me after surgery. My doctor kept me on Clear liquids an extra 2 days because I was so dehydrated that I could cause my kidneys to fail. Shortly after I was hydrated, I developed so much acid reflux that I was convinced that I was STARVING. Fortunately, I got ahold of Zantac (anti acid) and BAM. Back to normal! Now I feel like a real bariatric patient!!! ????????????
  22. Oh my gosh, a couple of hours after my surgery, I had the damn hiccups FOUR times!!!!! Each round was 5 minutes. Jesus I wanted to die!!!! Very painful. But they were gone the next day. Maybe it was my body adjusting, I don't know! All I know is that I was in PAIN!! ????????????????
  23. It could be acid. I had hat problem for three weeks until I spoke to my doctor about it. I took some Zantac and BAM... Hunger pangs went away! ???? in other words, I had so much acid that my body was confusing it for hunger.
  24. Hey there! Hang in there! Depression is super common, especially during the stage you are in. You've made the right decision to help you get to a healthier life! However, it's very important to stick with what your diet plan. I understand others may be on different diets, but remember EVERYONE is different! For instance, my NUT did not allow me to eat refried Beans, those everyone on this forum has stated they were allowed to eat it. Don't let others bring you down, your doctors know what they are doing! ???? This liquid phase will pass, just like everyone else has gone through it. You will be fine! I promise! ????
