Chancie, I love your NSV #4 wearing a summer dress and feeling like a lady. I haven't been able to do that in sooo long. I am hoping for that next summer. How wonderful for you, it's inspiring me. I love that feeling too, and sure do miss wearing summer dresses.
Maybe we should all write these victories down on paper and post above the scale, so when we have a stall, we can look at all our victories, and keep on going.
God bless you guys, you're great!

    Congrats to EVERYONE!!!
    I too LOVE this thread!!

Dange- Thats too funny 'bout the pants!! Good thing you were at home!!

    1) I think one of my favorite NSV is being able to paint my toenails!! I could hardly bend over before to even clip them!

    2) I can also put my cars seat all the way front- and still have room between the steering wheel and my belly!!! And I can even put down the arm rest now!

    3) When going to a restaurant, not worried if I can fit into a booth!

    4) Being able to wear summer dresses and feel like a lady!

There is so much more... but thats what comes to mind right now.

Absolutely! I had the sleeve and a hernia repair. The hernia repair was more painful than my sleeve incisions. It felt very tight to swallow for about 10 days. I drank Water constantly even just the tiniest sips at a time so I wouldn't get dehydrated. I had to do 2 weeks of liquids just after my surgery and that was the toughest part. I just wanted to chew something and I really recognized how addicted to food I really was.
Week 3 I had a stall and stayed at the same weight. It was hard but I tried to focus on my clothes and things feeling loose. Now I'm back to losing again and I feel amazing. I truly eat now just because I know I need to not because it tastes good or helps me de-stress. I have more energy and more confidence especially at work. People can noticeably tell and that's a nice confidence booster. I'm on mushy foods for the next 2 weeks and it's going good.
All in all it was hard immediately after but I had great care, good pain meds and tons of love and support from my friends and family. I'm really grateful I did this. It has truly changed my life.
Good luck with your surgery - you'll do awesome!

Going home today, I opted for 2 nights in the hospital instead of the one, just because I wanted to make sure all was well. Feeling better, no nausea. Still expected pain in tummy..and I have to be very careful if I sip something a little larger than meant..it hurts.

Weigh and measure -- forever. Also, slow down. Wait a minute between bites (from the time you swallow to the time you take the next bite). Chew thoroughly. Just go back to basics. 10 weeks post-op is not very long. I am almost four months out and I still weigh and measure.

You just hav to wait it out, then you learn and measure going forward. You don't want to overeat and stretch your sleeve.

Ugh. Awful feeling. For me, moving around helps. Weighing and measuring is a p.i.t.a, but keeps one on track. I have been good, and not so good about it. Especially hard when I am eating out. You can stick one of those small rubbermaid containers in your purse and take it out when needed. I also purchased a tiny, cheap scale at Target that I use at home, and can stash in a bag/purse when I go out.

Measuring portions and eating small bites slowly will help you avoid eating too much. If you are uncomfortable after one bite too many try raising your arms straight up over your head and/or standing up. That seems to give a little extra room until you start to digest.

I'm nine weeks out and when that happened I learned I've got to eat slower and chew more thoroughly. And standing up and walking around helps me too.

This happened to me for the first time earlier this week (I'm 4 weeks post op) and I immediately stopped eating and walked away from my plate and kept walking until I felt better in about 2 minutes

I am not as far out as you post op but I have to measure my food out or I am tempted to eat too much, also flavors of food have been amplified so everything's tastes so good. I have to eat a little and then sit there for a bit then eat again

I had to learn how to stop eating before the feeling starts. Portion Control is the key for me! It is still difficult to see how little is needed for me to eat and be healthy.

My stop signal is the burp. The moment I feel i could start burping, i stop. Also, I'm 12 weeks out and I've noticed my stricture is getting tighter. Or maybe the nerves are working better. All i know is two weeks ago, 1200 cals was fairly easy for me to eat. Now? This week I've barely hit 600 a day. Any one else notice this?

I home and feeling great. Pain in my stomach is not bad. Mostly soreness and it hurts to lay and stand.... But not too bad. I have no nausea but I am hungry. I had my daughter come steal my scales while I was away. I am not even going to think of this period as a weight loss period. I think of it as a healing period. Taking it easy. Just walking around the house and taking care of my incisions.
