Sex after weight loss
I feel like my desire is returning, but I think it's because I have more energy and am less tired and I feel better about myself and my body overall. I feel sexy again. My husband has never cared about my weight, thankfully.

chips for salsa?
Maybe you can make your own? Take a corn tortilla and spray it with a little oil, cut into triangles and bake it.

Anyone 400lbs or more who had VS
We are very similar. I'm 5'5 and I started at 435 and was 402 when I had surgery 7 weeks ago. I also have sleep apnea. I have one daughter. The sleeve was the best choice for me as I struggled with portion control more than poor food choices. I think the major benefit of bypass is dumping syndrome, so if you have an addiction to sweets, it might be better for you. Do some research on obesityhelp.com. It may help you make a more informed decision. There's also a quiz here: http://obesitycoverage.com/bariatric-surgery-selector-tool/ Good luck!

For fat loss, low-fat diets beat low-carb diets handily, new research finds
I see. I do all lean meats, but my fat is higher due to my cheese intake. I get reduced fat, but sometimes I still end up with 40 grams of fat per day.

Medically Supervised WL Success - why get surgery?
Well idk about all that mental stuff, but I needed the physical reminder to stop eating. I just never felt full (unless I ate a ton) and now I do.

SEX!
Well you should be able to have sex before 6 weeks, but won't he notice the scars? What kind of relationship do you have if you can't tell him truth?

What's your vitamin of choice
I'm taking the Optisource bariatric vitamin. They are a chalky orange flavored chewable, but I can tolerate them fine

Anyone diagnosed w/ "Functional Dyspepsia?"
I thought it was just me. I was hovering around 750 and I wasn't losing much. I've increased to 900 and while the weight isn't flying off as I had expected at 600-800 calories, it is coming off and I feel more satisfied.

4th day post op/any advice
I'll be honest, I physically felt more like myself after about 3 weeks. Mentally, it took about a week.

High BMI?
I had and still have a high bmi. I started at 70, now down to 63 in about 2 months (lost 40 pounds) . I consider myself a slow loser considering my high bmi, but I am losing.

Eating
You aren't alone! I'm 6 weeks post op (today) and I'm hungry all day. I did notice more hunger when taking the Omeprazole, so I stopped for now. Still hungry, but not ravenous. I eat every 2-3 hours, but it's very little. I have 4-5 150-200 calorie mini meals per day. That's the only way I can tame the hunger.

Dizzy/light-headed
Try the Gatorade g2. That has helped me with dizziness.

I think my PPI is making me hungry!
Wow! Thanks! I wonder if I should stop taking it altogether. Interestingly, I don't have any of the associated ailments/illnesses.
