It looks like a ton of forums were merged or moved. It makes it kind of difficult to see what is going on.

I finally gave Premier Protein shakes a chance. I picked a 4 pack of chocolate (I'm a chocolate kinda gal)
i might be the only person to think this, but those things are terrible! They're thick and gritty, no wonder people have such a hard time with the pre/post op liquid diets. Now, I'm cheap, and they were expensive, so I did pour them into my morning coffees until they were gone. Long story short-Blech🤢That is all.

I just got back from a 3 week work trip (with 2 fun weekends thrown in). I lost 3 pounds during that time, and I weighed 182 this morning. I am now a normal BMI and 2 pounds from goal. (Although I seriously question whether I really need to lose 2 more pounds...) Exciting time!!

Headahe!!!! I am doing a liquid diet trying to lose the last 3 pounds my insurance company requires before they will approve my surgery. However, this is causing me to have a constant and awful headache and fatigue. Not to mention how crabhy I am! Does anyone have any advice on what I am doing wrong or what i can do to help out?

As of today, I'm halfway to goal! 70 pounds down, 70 more to go... And I'm just under 10 pounds away from hitting onederland! I'm 3.5 months out from surgery today and I have to say that even though the weight loss seems slow at times, I'm very happy to be where I am right now.

I weighed 200 pounds this morning! Getting below 200 pounds is a major milestone. I'm hoping to be there in the next few days!!!

I know I don't post often. Year 2 is where the real work comes in. I've gain, 20. lost 15/ Had a cancer scare and am now dealing with the flu. Overall I'm doing well, just taking these few hiccups as they come. The challenge is rebounding and getting back to the gym after each hiccup. It just doesn't leave much online time.

Today marks six months post-op for me. I have lost 85% of my excess body weight. What a journey!!

So I just had a small snack and I immediately reached for my water. And stopped midway.....have to wait 30 mins before drinking. Or is that only with actual meals? guess I need to get clarification.

No Poop for 7 days. Is it normal?
I'm 1 week post op Gastric Plication and apart from 1 teeny tiny bowel movement on day 4... NOTHING. Is this normal? Anyone else found the same?

I tried all sorts. MoM, benefibre, prune juice and on and on. The only thing that worked for me was ducolax. Still take it every now and again if I don't go for a few days.

90-Day follow-up today. I have lost 43% of my excess weight. BP and Blood Sugar are in the normal range. Pre-surgery I took 1000mg of Metformin, 5mg of Glipizide, and 20mg of Lisinopril each day. Now I take 500mg of Metformin only, and expect to eliminate that soon. I am still early in the process, but I have no regrets. It feels good to be healthy. My best advice to people considering weight-loss surgery...go into it knowing that signigicant lifestyle changes will be required in order to be successful. If you think that at some point you will be able to go back to doing the things that caused you to be overweight to begin with, DON'T HAVE THE SURGERY! Your thinking must be "right" to begin with.

Feelings bummed out at the moment. Just got a call from my PCP's office - liver enzymes are elevated; stop taking statin and arthritis medication. More tests to be done. I see him next on 4/7 for my annual physical so we'll talk more about possible causes. I've been doing well and feeling real good lately. Heading to the gym after work as scheduled - new goal - work out the bummed feelings.

Just an update on the liquid diet:
Starting Weight: 260 lbs
Week 1: 251.6 lbs
Week 2: 248,8
Total loss: 11.4 lbs.
Not what I was hoping but I will take it. It is better than I have ever done before. Long live my achievement.

I am 9 days out and having some trouble. I was so excited a couple of days ago because I was going to be able to switch to puree foods. I was weighing in at 234 which was a full 10 pounds down from surgery day. On day 8, I tried some refried beans pureed with some salsa. I was able to eat about 1/2 cup. It was divine! Later that day I was able to try some thinned out mash potatoes and they didn't sit well. Well last night I tried some baked potato and I ate way too much too quickly and then I immediately regretted it. After dealing with that, I was just ready to go back to liquids. I drank a protein shake before bed in hopes that I wouldn't get woke up by my stomach "cramping" this morning. Well, it still happened. I am trying my best to get in as much water as possible during the day. I had severe gas pains this morning and I thought I was done with those, but undoubtedly this is going to be an ongoing issue. I am just not having a great day and I need some encouragement please. Please tell me this gets better and I am going to be able to advance to purees again.

I'm glad I found this website. It is awesome to see other people and what they have been through and what they are currently going through. This is very helpful for me on my weight loss journey. I'm so anxious about finding out if my insurance approved me that I'm dreaming about it! Oh boy!!

Takes me an hour to eat a greek yogurt and I haven't been sleeved yet. LOL
Next Wed I have my 3rd NUT appt. One left in April, then I'm done with all the perquisites! I'm so excited.
Almost there!!!.....
