  1. Irene...thanks for asking...I am doing great....except for kidney stones the last 24 hrs...about to pass. God's little gift to me about once a month. So happy you went for the sleeve and you are able to work it. Proud of you for taking that step.

  2. Arittel...thanks for the friend request...happy to be your friend.

If you are looking for a soft place to fall and a good group of people that are full of info and help for new people, go to the "I'm Here to Help" thread started by Indiogirl.

We can answer any of your questions and we will make you feel comfortable. Only rule we have is that no question is a silly question. Come join us. We are a bunch of mother hens and welcome newbies.

  3. I just took a look at your profile photos...OMG...what a cute baby!!!! His momma is very pretty also!

  4. Thanks for the kind words regarding my b/4 and afters. You DO have a beautiful face and your baby is a CUTIE!

You will do just fine. Follows all of your doctors orders and do not veer from his instructions. That will lead you on your road to success!

  5. Hey Anne...thanks for the friend request. I see you are not banded yet. If you ever have any questions, feel free to PM or email me. There's never a question that you should be afraid to ask.

There's a great thread I frequent. "I'm Here to Help" started by Indiogirl. It's just a place where there's ppl in all stages and always someone there to answer and help. Wishing you luck!

  6. Happy things are going better. Just see how things go and REALLY baby your band the next couple of days. If the inflamation is further irritated, it will continue to flare. You might not need an unfill unless things are continually coming back up on you. But, keep an eye on it and if an unfill is necessary, that's not such a bad deal. Have them just start with taking a little out. Take care!

  7. Lea....there's a great and helpful mentor thread titled "I'm here to help" started by Indiogirl. Just look for it under the mentor/buddy section. I subscribe to that thread. Everyone is very helpful and mostly successful banders. I am at goal (not without struggles) and very healthy and happy. You can PM me anytime with questions and I will see if I can help. OK? Karen

  8. Thank you for your kind words. I see you are new to LBT and just want to wish you the best.

  9. Thank you for the kind words. I feel wonderful. I will be 55 in a month and I can do anything a person in their 20's can do. I have always been active but getting this extra weight off has done it for me.

There's another baby like the other????? LOL Just so darned cut.

Keep a good frame of mind, Arittel....don't ever give up on this journey....even if there are hurdles.

  10. I notice you are from SD...I'm from MN. Maybe someday we can meet half way. Have met many bansters on here and became what I hope will be lifelong friends. Two weeks ago met 10 others out in Vegas for a girl's weekend. Met in FL last year. It's just nice to connect with others that have the band.

  11. Just wanted to wish you luck as you go through this process. I see you have been in the pre-op stage for quite some time. PM me if you have any questions or concerns...there's many ppl here with experience and can provide support. Take care

  12. JSC...just had to jump in and say congrats...you are looking great. Beautiful. Such a difference. Your smile now seems "happy" compared to the "sad" smiles on your post-op photos.

  13. Hey Alex...not sure why but I am not getting email for my subscribed threads. I see others have posted about the same problem. Is there a solution to this problem?

Also...thanks for providing LBT. I recommend it to all persons I know that are considering LB or who have been banded and do not know about LBT. I can honestly say that LBT and the experience and help from others greatly contributed to my success with the band. Apples2

  14. Betsy...just a note to compliment you on your posts. You give such good advice...not over the top...just good common sense. Good luck in your LB journey...looks like you are doing well.

  15. Lana...you are right. It's a benefit to look good but the biggest benefit for me is the way it FEEL. I will be 54 in two weeks and I feel like I could outrun a 19 yr old. Prior to this surgery, it was such a task to get moving and my health was affected. I will never let weight affect my health again in my life. Have too many good years of living left.

Again, you look amazing and take care of yourself. Have a maintenance plan!

  16. Cangel...thanks for the photo comments. I will be 55 in two weeks and actually feel better than I did at 19. Good luck to you!

  17. Hey Kerry. Haven't seen you on the board lately. Hope all is well. Things are pretty good with me. Waiting to have a fill next Tuesday. Had restriction up until a week ago. Attribute two weeks of it to flying and getting tight. Even though I have been hungry, I am sticking to my dr.'s strict rule of eating 1/2 cup 3x daily and that's it.

Think I have also hit a plateau and trying not to let it get to me. It's bound to happen once in awhile.

Hope things are going great for you. Check in if you have time. Karen

  18. Hi OK...thanks for the compliment on my b/4 and after photos. Ummmm...I'm not real "tiny". I stand over 5'6" tall. You asked how much I lost? 139lbs.

You are doing really well. Went in and looked at your albums. Hard to believe it's the same person! Good luck

  19. Hey Afragie...you sent me a message asking me how tall I am after seeing my photo. Nope, not vertically challenged. I am over 5'6" tall. I have to order Long jeans and slacks because my inseam is 34".

Wishing you luck on your lb journey!

  20. Awwww, Irene, just saw your updated photos. Fabulous, Dawwwwling....just fabulous!

  21. Hey, Kerry. Have not heard from you for awhile. How are things going? Contact me if you feel like it. I am anxious to hear from you. Karen

  22. Personal attacks are not welcome on this forum. Grow up

  23. Thank you for the compliment. At almost 55 yrs old, I feel like I'm 19 again. All worth the hard work! Good luck to you!

  24. Tonya...thanks for the nice compliment regarding my photo. I feel wonderful and am living life again. Good luck to you!

  25. Hey 295...I see you "lurking" once in awhile on our "I'm here to help" thread. Just an invite to tell you to jump in and visit with us. We are a group that is not cliquish...just love to visit about our bands and our lives. The more the merrier. Come on and join us! Karen
