  1. I'm a 36G. I don't have an issue with most tops, I usually buy mediums. My arms measure 14.5 but they look like yours. I want a lift but not a reduction, large breasts are pretty normal in my family, mine don't bother me and I would like to keep them. Thanks for responding
  2. If you like it, look around for a discount code before you buy it you can usually get it for $29 a year
  3. Tell people you are low carbing. Not a lie and they don't have to know you had surgery to help with portion control. People are really not as curious as people think. Most people think diet and exercise work. Not telling people isn't lying or hiding under a rock. First of they are asking a rude question to begin with. Losing weight and health really are private things, just because we live in a society where people tell all their business on social media does not mean that is how people are forced to conduct their lives. Privacy is invaluable. When you tell people your business you are inviting them to comment on it. OP has already told enough people that I seriously doubt this secret stays a secret anyway. With that number of people knowing, someone is going to blab it.
  4. Food scale with the "tare" option An app you like to track with. I use Lose it. People like My Fitness Pal. I use lose it because it is more accurate, allows better customizations and is cheaper for premium.
  5. @GirthyGirl Your arms are pretty similar to mine. Mine compress pretty nicely in tight sleeves so they don't look so large. My issue currently is my arms are preventing me from wearing smaller sizes. I can wear a size 8 dress but not if it has sleeves in some cases, same with fitted tops. What is your dress/top size currently? Do you mind sharing your weight/bmi?
  6. I wanted to add at my last DEXA scan my body fat was 34%. My goal is to get it 28% or lower. That should get me in a good BMI range. https://www.inbodyusa.com/blogs/inbodyblog/how-to-set-a-body-composition-goal-thats-right-for-you I am really big on DEXA scans as I feel like for a lot of us with excess skin it is the only accurate measure of body fat. You also get a lean mass so you can peg your protein goals to your lean mass to maintain it. I have already passed my stretch size goal which was a 12. Now that I am smaller if I ever want to have plastics and have a good result I really feel like losing 20 more pounds is the key to that. We will see if I can accomplish it. My body seems very comfortable at the weight it is at.
  7. 3 to 4 pounds a week is insanely fast!!! Do people think they are going to lose 10 pounds a week for months?!?!?
  8. There are so many low carb sugar free substitutes there is really no reason to have sugar unless you just want to. You have to live in your body not her. It is really easy to dodge sugar if you want to. I don't eat sugar to the point I don't eat fruit but that is my choice.
  9. My goal has been to get under 30 BMI. Physically I am pretty small, if I got down to the 150 range which is top for most women in our height range, I would be like a size 2 maybe even a 0. I'm almost and sometimes an 8 right now and I am upper 180s lower 190s. I really don't want to be smaller than a 6. I still have pounds of loose skin. If that was all gone right now I would be a 6 now. Even though BMI is BS and very skewed, it is the standard. My goal is to be at the top end of a normal BMI, even though I really do not want to be that small. I'll just be boobs and hair (breasts are not disappearing the more I lose the bigger they seem).
  10. Nope. I don't use any of that. I purchased some very nice flatware and dishes before I considered surgery. I use those. Almost 2 years later I am happy with my choice. I find putting my smaller portions on normal size plates helps me better gauge what portions should look like. So when I am not at home it makes it easier to eye ball how much I should eat. The rest of the world isn't going to feed you on Bariatric plates or baby you. So I felt it was better to learn to adapt.
  11. I'm 5'5 and some change, almost 5 foot 6. I am around (keep bouncing) 190 ish and wear a 10 sometimes an 8, I'm dead in between sizes. At 130 I would be shopping in the kids dept or dead.
  12. I had the same thing. They didn't say it was fast or slow. The said it was normal and since they were testing for leaks that is all they commented on, that there was no leak present. I was able to get all my fluids in, all my protein and I'm almost to goal without looking like skeletor and my face still looks great. There are a lot of perks to healing well. People that heal well don't complain as much as the people that are not healing well. Being able to just get a few bites in and barely drink is not supposed to be the intended outcome. My hospital won't even release you if you cannot eat and drink. I had to be able to drink several ounces of water and finish a protein shake (it was only 4 ounces) before I could be discharged. They don't release you so you can go home and starve. You are supposed to be able to eat and my practice wants you up to 1200 calories a day as soon as you can get there. People need to realize that being on low calories for an extended period of time means you will be stuck on them forever. Try maintaining for life on 800 calories a day. It is pure hell. There is a thead here am old and long one about regaining and a lady is stuck doing just that. Eating 800 calories a day forever or gaining. If you ruin your metabolism you will be worse off than when you started.
  13. Contact your Dr, go to the ER. Not normal.
  14. If you ever have a live swallow test you can see that liquids move through your sleeve instantly. You can't stretch your sleeve or push the limits of it with liquids. The fact you can drink more just means you have less swelling than others and are healing better. If you are really concerned ask your Doctor. No one here including myself is really qualified to answer you.
  15. 800 calories sounds good. Try to hit 1000 with your carbs below 25. The sooner you can consume 1000 to 1200 calories, the better for your metabolism and overall health. If you keep your carbs low, you will still keep losing.
  16. I'm really sorry to hear about the issues you are having. I wish I had some advice to offer. This is the busiest WLS site so if someone is going to respond, it will be here. Good luck
  17. At 2 months I had soft baked fish 4 times a day and maybe 1 protein shake.
  18. My Dr said the first 6 weeks are for healing not weight loss. You just had major surgery. Your body is focused on repairing itself not losing weight. Google 3 week stall. It seriously feels like no one did any research pre-op and just had surgery. If you have ever read any WLS boards there are lots of answers to this kind of question. Do some research so you know what expect and don't stress yourself. You need to be focused on healing and you can't if you are stressed.
  19. Even though he was rude, he did you a favor. You don't want someone with bad energy that isn't feeling positive about you touching you. If more people were honest about how they felt, we could avoid them and life would be easier. I rather someone be straight than shady.
  20. My nurse was 6 months post op from sleeve and gave me a very realistic post op life view. I think the biggest asset to every patient would be a live swallow test. I was able to watch my sleeve work live on screen for my swallow test. I understand th3 exact size, shape and how it works. Seeing liquids instantly pass through was a tremendous help. It helped me understand how sliders work, in addition to just having greater knowledge about my body. All programs are not created the same. I'm glad I picked a good program and a good Dr. I am beyond thrilled at my results.
  21. I think you are too young to have your intestines touched. Go sleeve and you can always revise later. I did sleeve, I started at 358 day of surgery, 190 right now
  22. My tastes are exactly the same, only exaggerated. If I didn't like something preoperative I really hate it now. I don't suggest stocking up on protein etc. You will get tired of it after weeks of that being all you have. So just get enough, not a lot.
  23. Once you tell anyone a secret it isn't a secret anymore. 3 people know I had surgery, none of them know each other and they live in 3 different states. There isn't anything you can do now. Just own it. If you don't want to talk about it just stonewall people. When people post on here asking about telling, if you don't want everyone to know, don't tell anyone. You can't un tell. If she was my SIL, she would be dead to me forever. I would never speak to her again. You don't have to hold a grudge but you also don't have to talk or deal with her. She isn't a blood relative, you didn't choose her as family. I would act like she and her family don't even exist.
  24. Every one feels hungry when they can't chew. Once you can chew food it will be less. Scientifically you should not have any physical hunger at this point mainly from swelling and nerves being cut. It should basically be impossible to be physically hungry. The person hungry at 5 weeks are you on a PPI? You can still feel hungry on an antacid. Only a PPI is going to stop you from feelings hungry because of acid.
  25. If you have a functioning liver it does all the detoxing you need. Everything else is just snake oil.
