Endoscopic gastric sleeve Doctor In Michigan?
A newer procedure only done by a handful of Drs in the US.

4 day torture
Some people are sensitive to cold post-op, the first few days I had issues with cold items. Try a diffrent broth. You haven't mentioned any protein, which is worrisome. I wouldn't bother with mashed potatoes. They have zero nutritional value.

Leaving dieting behind
All the people that post they feel their body needs chicken and potatoes with gravy 3 days post-op (totally happened here) or candy a week out. When see someone that seems successful talking about they are "intuitive eating" it is just giving a green light for bad behavior. Life post-op should not feel like you are on a continual diet. That is why changing your attitude about food, learning nutrition, and find a way of eating that does not make you deprived matter. Intuitive eating for food addicts is just a crock of #$@^

Leaving dieting behind
Exactly. And she has a long history of lying here, and she previously admitted that she lied. So how can anyone believe anything she says at all? Almost everyone that was here when she was spinning her fantasical lies and called her out on it are gone. So she feels perfectly comfortable to come back, reinvent herself as some new age eating guru and spew more BS. If anyone dares to call her on her BS or remember all the lies she told she just plays victim. She is completely toxic.

Problems Getting Into Plastic Surgeons Office
Yeah I know it sucks. When I was just over 1/2 to goal, my body was the worst. The closer I get to goal the better it gets. Your fat and body readjusts and changes.

Leaving dieting behind
If anything she wrote is true, which is unlikely. It is probably a tactic they taught her when she went in-patient for her anorexia (if that was true). Intuitive eating is why almost everyone is over weight. An anorexic suggesting intuitive eating to people that are probably compulsive over eaters as a solution to their problems is so misguided it borders on unethical and immoral. Why she is allowed to continue to troll these forums with her fantastical lies is a mystery.

Burning Reflux - Horrible
Well you should have never stopped taking your medicine. It is going to take a week or more for it to get better if it is as bad as you say. Taking PPI for 6 to 9 months post-op isn't going to harm you, when they are talking long term they are talking about 7 years plus, not a few months. The biggest issue with taking them is low iron, but since most people post WLS are supplementing vitamins and minerals it shouldn't be that much of an issue. It really isn't worth risking your esophagus to avoid taking a pill for just a few months. I never had GERD before surgery. The only times I have ever had it post-op, after the 6 month mark I did it to myself by not weighing my food (eating out) and over eating. If I don't over eat I don't have GERD.

Problems Getting Into Plastic Surgeons Office
Wait. My boobs totally changed/improved over the last few months. Waiting can suck, but the longer I am under 200 the better my body is getting. Boobs are the last thing you want to get done when your weight isn't stable. If you lose 10 or 20 pounds you are going to ruin your new boobs.

Drinking with meals
A sip or 2 isn't going to hurt, especially if you feel like something is stuck and you weigh all of your portions. If you are straight up drinking what @blizair09 said it totally correct. In general, it is a terrible habit to start, because long term you will be able to eat more and you can use drinking while eating to binge eat.

Someone help me.
This is not normal. You need to contact your Dr and have them work with you on while you are only able to get so little in per day. You could have a complication. It is better to have the Dr validate where you should be than strangers on the internet.

Upping Calories/Fat on Pureed Phase
If you are getting your protein in, I wouldn't modify anything. The amount of time you are going to lose 1-2 lbs a day is going to be pretty short. Take advantage of it.

Dumping?
Fruit is just sugar with fiber. Natural sugar but sugar. Grapes are pretty high glycemic index, at 59, they are almost the same as ice cream which is 62. The sugar content of fruit also varies wildly based on how ripe it is. If you are going to eat fruit early on, pick some that are lower carb to avoid dumping. 5g or less of sugar per serving (you can cut your serving to hit the 5 grams) https://www.verywell.com/low-carb-fruit-list-2242528

Bypass Vs. Sleeve?
I'm single and I live alone. I chose the sleeve because of the easier recovery and lower complications. It also requires a lower level of life long maintenance. I didn't have GERD so the Sleeve was an was an easy choice. What surgery you want is really a personal choice. A couple things to consider is what surgery does your Surgeon perform the most of? That is the one they are probably skilled with the best. And then your other medical conditions. Long term they are about the same as far as weight loss, how much weight you lose is up to you.

Endoscopic gastric sleeve Doctor In Michigan?
He cares too much about his patients to do Endoscopic sleeves. He also still fairly new to doing sleeves, he was a big RNY doctor.

Sick and Tired
You know even men get jealous. Most men once they are your age and are obese they never lose unless they cancer or something. I really think you need to talk to someone though. A therapist, just a couple sessions would help.

Dumb move.
Bagels used to sit on my stomach like a brick pre-op. I'd be terrified to try one now. You learned a hard lesson. Keep something with you to eat at all time, protein bar, nuts, protein chips. Something. I have to eat pretty often and I always keep something in my purse. I can eat pretty much anything, but there are lots of times you get trapped some place with no good options. Just make sure you always have a good option on you.

Sleeved 5/25/17: why do I feel like I am eating too much?
Depending on the yogurt it might have a lot of sugar. Do they have more than 5g of sugar per serving? Everything you are "eating" is a liquid. So there is no reason you shouldn't be able to have them. Depending on the type of yogurt it isn't much thicker than a protein shake. You don't lose every day, or every week. I would just check the nutritional value of the yogurt.

Two years later
Recently I had similar issues, from eating protein bars. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/diabetes/expert-answers/reactive-hypoglycemia/faq-20057778 I gave up protein bars, no issues.

Bleeding
No. Call your Dr.

NAGGING PAIN ON LEFT SIDE - 1 YR SINCE VSG
No, I'm almost 2 years out, not pain. What did your surgeon say about it?

Timeline confusion
Find a new surgeon. They are charging enough. My coordinator returned calls in a few hours, or at least next business day and they are very busy. This is business not charity. Make them treat you like a customer. Where I live there is no shortage of bariatric Drs, they have to compete for customers, so they treat people better.

Accountability Group
It sounds like your Dr failed you, not that you self destructed. Dr Weiner says you shouldn't even feel your band, they are not supposed to be tight. Anyway good luck. Have you considered a revision from the band to something else? Is your current weight on the site accurate?

Post Op Hell
GO TO THE ER. Don't ask for medical advice on the internet, go to the ER. The longer you let this go on the worse it will be. This isn't like asking which protein shake tastes better. I am baffled at all the hospitals releasing people who can't eat and drink. I had to be able to eat and drink and make a decent dent before they would release me. They don't want to release people and have them go home and dehydrate.

Dating horrors
Wait until you are a year post-op, then date.
