  2. lucky you! One more day and i have 12 more to go . I would try to distract myself maybe go to the mall and look at the clothes that you will want to wear once you are at your goal weight, or read a book. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow
  3. I would just do my best to go back down to at least 190 and then try to maintain that weight. I know its hard and when i have surgery and get to my lowest weight the battle is to maintain that weight for like forever ????. I wish you luck !
  4. I meet my surgeon on Nov. 4 before my surgery that monday. Please let me know if there is anything important that we need to know.
  5. My surgery date is Nov 9th. Yesturday was the first day of liquid diet and it was easy peasy. I feel like i am too excited to be complaining of being hungry. But you never know, i may lose my mind in the next few days since ny NUT said that first 2-3 days are the worse.
  6. For my last meal i ate healthy not sure why but i just wanted to eat something good but healthy. I cooked chicken with green salsa and pinto beans with a glass of milk.
  7. I had my consultation June 26 and approved for surgery Oct 16. So i would say that is 3 months a half. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 9th.
  8. Yes, most definitely keep in touch. I will let you know how my surgery went and also how i am doing with my preop liquid diet. I know most people would have a food funeral but i chose to eat a delicious but healthy dinner .
  9. My surgery is also on the 9th, i also drink 2-3 protein drinks and was told to have a cup of homemade chicken broth (which i am cooking now for the entire week) or cream of chicken or mushroom. We both start tomorrow
  10. I have bcbsnc which does not require a 3 or 6 month diet. But the NUT does have to clear you for surgery after you do everything she ask which may include to lose some weight. After my request for surgery was recieved by bcbsnv they approved within 3 days.
  11. I am here in Charlotte, my surgeon is dr. Vollianger ( southeast bariatrics) with novant health. What time is your surgery? Mine is at 10 am?
  12. My mother, sister, and dad were all begging me to look into surgery. I am scared of needles which is one of the reasons i couldnt think about surgery (literally hate needles). But i looked into it and told my mom i am choosing to have surgery and out of the blue she told me my dad and sister talked it out and decided to pay for the surgery so i wont have to get a loan and stress about surgery and paying back the loan. They cant wait until i have surgery.

  20. Yessss! My surgery is Nov. 9th in a little more than 2 weeks also, Nov. 9th is my sons birthday . But due to payroll i chose that date. The surgeons office told me since i have a low bmi i only need to do clear liquids 10 days but i am choosing to do the 14 days. Wish me luck !
  21. When i went to my initial consultation i was told if i miss more than one appointment they could drop me. I would understand why, i had to wait 6 weeks for initial consultation and almost 2 months for another appointment i cant remember. Try not to forget because a lot of people would have wanted to go to that appointment and the surgeons office see it as a lost of revenue.
  22. I also had it, i was prescribed the 14 day antibiotic. And after i finished taking it i had to the en wait another 2 weeks to do more bloodwork to make sure it was gone. The antibiotics gave me very bad cramps but just got news i got approved for surgery this past friday. ☺
