  1. I'm certainly no expert but if you went from 1200 cal to 1600-1800 cal and gained weight then maybe that WOULD explain the gain... I'm no doctor or anything but the addition of calories and the weight gain seem to be linked,... Perhaps a trip to the nutritionist might be in order... Good luck mate...
  2. No coffee is worth an irritated staple line... Imagine that one coffee causing you to need longer on no coffee... Stand firm @@PissiChrissi YOUR doctor knows YOU best... If you can wait the entire six weeks, I'll even shout your first coffee.. I don't make THAT offer to anyone!!!!
  3. @@VSGAnn2014 Me and science go way back... We used to hang out in school.. I'm always happy to help out my fellow recovering fatty-boom-bahs... It's all part of being a man of the people... Plus, it amuses me... And apparently it amuses others as well... I'm all for that sh*t...
  4. I gotta agree with the ladies before me... Ok, so you had some cake... We all screw up... Our brains are pretty smart at tricking us... But you've acknowledged it and made yourself accountable for it... The next step is to not beat yourself up about it... And, as @@Inner Surfer Girl says... Come in here any time you feel like you're gonna cave... There's always someone to kick your arse if you need it...
  5. No worries @@jaxmom You're on the list!!! Tho it may not be as long a list as you'd expect...
  6. @ Where would I go? You bunch of nutters are my people... You get me... This is home...
  7. @@jane13 I'm not going anywhere... You're stuck with me...
  8. @@LipstickLady Did you just tell us all that you suck the best? I'll be the judge of that....
  9. Good luck to all the impending sleevers... Make sure to ask your questions and keep us updated!!!!
  10. I've done the "Big Mac - No lettuce, no bun, extra Special Sauce" thing once... Still couldn't eat it all...
  11. What??? You'll miss my birthday on the 18th!!!!
  12. - When you're in the local supermarket, just minding your own business, when, at the far end of the aisle, a PT from the gym you used to go to walks past, looks you right in the eye, then keeps going, only to do a MASSIVE double-take, comeback and stand in the middle of the far end of the aforementioned aisle, and yell - "WHAT THE F*CK??!?! HAVE A LOOK AT YOU!!!" Happened today..
  13. I came in here hoping to read something about me... YOU GUYS SUCK!!!! Love yas all...
  14. @@on the fence 2 Congratulations!!!!
  15. Firstly, thank you ALL for the advice and the kind words... In particular, all those of you who mentioned words such as 'handsome' and the like in regard to my bulbous, hairy bonce.. That doesn't happen very often... Anyway, enough of this jibber-jabber.. THE RESULTS ARE IN - Sad to say, that the advice that many of you provided was accurate... The arse cream did NOT have a lasting effect on my turkey neck... It did seem to make a difference to its appearance for a while... There certainly seemed to be some tightening... But as expected, this turned out to be a misunderstanding on my PT's behalf... So - What now? I need another experiment... Does anyone have any ideas? I've a little time on my hands until my internet is hooked up, so I'm hoping you all can keep me busy... You know about idle hands, right? They're KindFamiliar's workshop... And there's only so much 'work' I can do without going blind... Or experiencing chafing... All ideas considererd!!!
  16. I think someone up there needs a hug... Any volunteers?
  17. Vent away @@Brenda Sherwood Especially if it's gonna help... Don't forget tho - this site doesn't disappear just because you have a setback or two... We still remain your support network.. There's still a wealth of knowledge and caring here... As far as your couple of crappy eating days, it's done now... Acknowledge it and move on... Be ready for your approval to come thru, no matter how unlikely it is... Better to be ready and have it not come thru than to have it come thru and have to put it off.. Stick with the good things that you're doing... The good eating/diet habits you're learning now will be invaluable to you in he future.. Good luck to you... Keep your chin up... Take care...
  18. @ I genuinely hope that all the research you've done is a help to you during your WLS process... If this is something you truly believe in and your concern for others is genuine, perhaps you could look at your approach to bringing up your points... As things stand, you seem to be a little forceful in your approach.. Perhaps you could try something a little less "f*ck you lot are stupid" and a little more "hey guys, my research has shown something different to what you might have been told".. While I'm at it, can I also suggest you make your presentation a little more 'readable'... Rather than a wall of words, perhaps space things out a little... Lastly - Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. The adults are trying to talk... Thank you...
  19. All looking good for you @@LadyPoet Congratulations!!
  20. If you're on the laptop, there's a doorbell sound when someone enters and a door closing sound when someone leaves...

  22. @@LindaLena I hope the same for you... Keep us posted...
  23. 14 months sleeved... No 'foamies'... No vomiting... No reflux... Indigestion on occasion... But that's treated with a few mints... So it's certainly not guaranteed doom and gloom...
