  1. Sorry - I had the same problem and I took Biotin. Starts at about 3 months and continues till about 7-8 months. Recommendation.....get 80-90 grams of Protein, this is really the only thing that slowed it down for me. Now at 10 month I have lots of little hairs growing back.
  2. @@frankenstein - so happy for you. Coming out of these decisions are so hard. I find that just making the decision is lifting. Remember..... all the restrictions are totally workable after surgery. Nothing will stop you you can do it. Get the mofo done!
  3. That is totally funny. I had the same problem when I felt the gap behind my clavicle. Enjoy. the ribs show up soon too.
  4. Mom is a little bit different. I can drink fast if water has a flavor to it. Like there's a lime in it or a lemon in it. But as long as it's plain water just plain water :cold, warm, whatever, that's sucker will not go down.
  5. Hi there. I am at 10 months out and I still cannot eat lettuceS. I eat all the yummy parts of the salad just not the lettuce because I have the exact same problem you talked about. I'm OK with that.
  6. @storibrown- before surgery I had really bad asthma. Every winter I would have a flair that would cause me to go on prednisones. Fact many of them brought trips to the ER to. Now that surgeries over my lung capacity went from 50% to 80%. With steroids I get to almost hundred percent capacity. So I still have to take my meds but it's so much better than it was.
  7. Hi. I am at 10 months out and I still get nauseous with plain water So i make iced tea all the time. I use the passion Taizo Tes. I brew it hot and then pour over ice. I also like the Goodearths sweet and spicy. Again , i bre it hot and then pour it over ice.
  8. This is a great place to scream or yell then do whatever you need to. You're so close you're so close. You've got this you can do it.
  9. My new favorite breakfast - and this should work in the soft food phase - is overnight oatmeal. My favorite - is Baked apple (nice and soft), oatmeal, vanilla Protein powder and cinnamon. Here are some other recipes... remember your protein powder to get a boost. http://www.theyummylife.com/Refrigerator_Oatmeal

  12. Happy day everyone! I went show dhopping and it seems my feet are smaller....size 10 to size 9. Really, i had that much fat in my feet? Anyone else?
  13. Week weigh in... 218.5. Was hoping it would be more but no such luck.
  14. its a hard one. Check out Nik's article - she is right about how to mix it up so not to have lumps. http://www.bariatricfoodie.com/bf-basics-how-to-make-hot-protein-drink/ Also - for Protein in my Soups, I really mix it following Niks article - take a small amount of broth to build the paste and then mix it. With the rest of the soup. also - do not be afraid to use the shakers. The pure pressure from the shaking does wonders with the clumps. These shakers are at GNC for cheap.
