Wow...6 weeks post op...by then my schedule says I should be on a regular diet. I had to do a 15 day complete liquid diet pre-op. ..I wonder if that make a a difference on the transition to solids.
And it could be that research has changed since ur surgery date.

    Hey ladies...question for yah
I'm definitely much better from the gas now that I'm 4 days post op. But have been having a horrible pain on the lower left side of my belly. At first I thought it was my skin ripping away from staples. . But there aren't any staples. ..and nothing showed up on CT scan...so I'm wondering if there is a small muscle tear. ..bc it hurts like hell when I move! Dr appointment next week to check it out again. ..did any of you experience anything like this?

thanks Caligul, my surgery had set backs in the O.R It took an hour to get the breathing tube Down my throat. They said I have a fleshy throat. Thanks to my diligent surgical & anesthesia team they got it done. I couldn't have imagined going home without my surgery being done.. I feel so blessed and also to know I'm not alone in this...

Hello everyone. I'm 1dsy post op. The pain is tolerable with my pain pump. I felt the gas the night after surgery. I walked buy it wasn't too much fort me. However, I felt very weak and nauseated. I even had the patch to stop the nausea behind my ear. The nurse said that it would have been worse had I not had it... She gave me a med in my iv to subside it I took a nap and felt much better to walk.
So happy to be post op & on the other side. Happy everyone doing better!!!

I couldn't imagine doing liquids for 6 weeks! Hats off to you hun! I did have 2 week pre op liquid diet so maybe that's the difference like @@caligul said. I do know that those who were sleeved have to do an extra week of liquids in my program...but seems like everyone's requirements will be a little different.

I can't wait until I get to this phase! That's encouraging that insurance will pay for it - I'll have to check with mine - I was prepared to pay for it myself.

I am 3 days post-op and pooped this morning. Wasn't much but enough to help relieve some gas too. I've been walking a lot and the gas isn't too bad. I came home from the hospital yesterday and I'm feeling not too bad. My stomach is sore but that's expected. I gain a few pounds in the hospital but lost that last night. Now I am just trying yo get some Protein Shakes down and my Water. Little sips...I also exited for this journey to finally be here! Thanks for asking! How is everyone doing?

@@KDM74 I will...it sounds like others have had the same issue. .. they said with time it goes away. .. it's due to that's the side they do all the work on...but I will let you know what the dr says Thursday.

@@caligul I had the same horrible left side pain and still do so you are not alone. Mine felt like something was stabbing me in my rib cage. I'm 10 days out and it has gotten better but it is still very painful. My Dr says it's normal and that it will take some time to heal since that is the side they did all the work. How is everything else? Hope it gets better for you!

Hello everyone I have had Tummy Tuck with muscle repair and I am now 5 days post opt and I am loving my results, I am in no pain and the pain that was discusses is overrated or I just have a high pain thrust hold they removed 10 pounds of fat from my tummy area and the results are outstanding. I love the new me and I am loving life. I encourage anyone who has extra skin and it is bothering them to not be afraid of a tummy tuck I was 1 year post opt from RNY . Do not let anyone tell you insurance will not pay for it because they do , they approved tummy tuck with muscle repair and Lipo, I was in such good physical health that I did not need lipo.

Welp my fellow June 2015 RNY's.....it's my time (6/2)....and I'm at peace....and ready to get the party started and continue this journey to a lifetime commitment of health. It's been 35 years of indulging in bad food choices. ..now ready to commit the remainder of my life to a healthier life....and indulge in healthy food choices; andddd I wouldn't be mad if a sister became a mother along the way
Best of luck to all of you along your journey. ..and let's do this.....and knock obesity out the park....NO MORE obesity labels for me!!!

Hi, I did experience upper left side pain and lower pelvic and bladder pain for a bit. It was a while ago but I believe they sent me for CT Scan and urine specimen test but it was ok. It eventually resolved on its own I'm not sure exactly how long it took. Maybe about 1 month but your body has been through more than you know. I took Tylenol and my prescription pain meds as needed. During your follow-up next week I'm sure they will determine if there is anything else that needs to be tested. Maybe a heating pad may help a bit with the discomfort. Hope you feel better soon.
