  1. So crazy I am on pureed too and I cannot have eggs until phase 3. Bummed because I love eggs. Our daughter raises chickens and so mine are farm fresh!
  2. Just wondering is anyone used Dr. Schram. Thanks
  3. I am 2 weeks post op. I have hunger and it is real. I take zantac everyday. It will get better when you get to stage 2. My NUT says to eat every two hours. And I DO !!
  4. I was sleeved April 27. I have a Premeir shake when I get up 30grams of Protein. about every 2-3 hours, I have a small amount of cottage cheese, greek yogurt or mashed Beans, pureed fish, chicken or pork. I drink Water with Profuse in it, 20 grams of protein 24 ounces. I also drink lemon water in the evening. I also have about 2 SF popsicles while watching tv. I usually have 40- 50 ounces of water and over 50 grams of protein in a day. I have not weighed myself since 1 week post op at the doctors office, so I have no idea how I am doing.
  5. Your lucky I had to wait 10 days for anything other than liquids. So what did you decide?
  6. I am only 2 weeks out but have never weighed myself at home. I want to be surprised at the doctors office. I am afraid that our scale and doctors are "off". So next office visit I will compare the two of them, to make sure. I am not one to weigh myself often, so I could hit a stall and not even know it! LOL I just want to feel good and look decent.
  7. It was suggested by my personal doctor to have bariatric surgery. I had never really thought about it. But I have several issues that are directly related to obisity. H/P, back and knee pain, Shortness of breath, extreme fatique. So I started the journey. Good thing I did, in pre-testing they found a cancerous tumor on my kidney. It would have never been caught until too late if it was not for bariatric pretesting. Thank you God! I will like being thinner but honestly it is not the reason I decided to have the sleeve. skip to 10 days post op: Back pain is much less, SOB is almost gone and they already dropped one of my H/P medications. Life is good
  8. I found the smoother the better for foods. Tried ground up chicken salad, felt like a lead balloon. Mashed potatoes were not good either (I just had to try them). What is working is Greek yogurt, mashed beans. I am going to try cream of wheat tomorrow and cottage cheese tomorrow.
  9. Just remember you will be tired, so rest afterwards. But I think you should be fine too. Congrats on having a date!
  10. I understand your fear. But hears How I look at it. If I were going to have a heart attack, I would rather be in the hospital than not. My doctor did a stress echo before he would sleeve me. Gods speed to you!
  11. I at a WHOLE container of greek yogurt in one sitting. No heavy feeling. It called "Chobani". Is was soooooo good. I tried mashed potatoes with chicken gravy at lunch and it sat like a lead balloon.
  12. I am no expert, but I don't think your over drinking. I would drink more Protein shakes rather than broth, IMO. They are more filling and give higher protein.
  13. So sorry, Gods speed to you!
  14. I purchase it through my doctor. Only $15.00 a bottle. Use 2oz per drink. I just purchased berry and that is also good.
  15. Do you use light or low fat mayo? Do you add anything to it? observation........the girl in the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Ads..... Looks like Bruce Jenner
  16. I just had mashed potatoes for the first time today. I think I may get Protein powder to add to my foods in the future. I cannot eat a lot yet.
  17. God is good, he is awsome!! thanks for sharing that was interesting.
  18. No, she only 10 minutes at a time, but still excited
  19. During the pureed diet? Anybody find any good baby food they liked? Cream of wheat? oatmeal? Thank you Judy
  20. I was down 14 pounds! Total of 20lbs. I am cleared to start pureed soft foods on Thursday. I think I need to have a party LOL. I cannot wait. I think I will start with pureed grilled chicken and a taste of mashed potatoes. Oh I don't know, but really excited. They already dropped one of my three B/P meds !! Honestly just a lucky one. I never had pain, soreness yes but not pain. I had no nausea, but I think that is because I was given the option to take "Emend" 3 hours prior to surgery. It is a nausea medications given to chemo patients and for one pill cost me $50.00 with insurance. Worth it , totally worth it. Cleared to take bike rides too. It is a wonderful day. :D :D :D :D
  21. I can add Protein to my Water, so I can kill two birds with one stone. I use Profuse grape (love it). I drink almost constantly during the day. Which is getting better as time goes on. I drink two Premier shakes a day, 30 protein each, the rest is all water with protein. Hope that helps you Pam
  22. I have very loose BM's. Several day, lots of gas with them. I dare not pass gas unless I am on the toliet I am not dehydrated. FYI It was not uncommon to have 2-3 BMS a day Preop.
  23. Are they REALLY unflavored or can you taste it? What kind does everyone use? thanks
  24. It is amazing how today I can take a normal size gulp of Fluid. Up till now It was only tiny sips, took forever to get the shakes down Isopure makes great popsicles . I have more energy than before surgery but tire easily. Egg drop Soup strained if FABULOUS and sits good. Very cheap to buy already made too. I had 90 grams of Protein today, without any difficulty. Earlier post op was about 40 grams. Life is good........
