  1. Sounds like you're doing great. Keep it up
  2. I really struggled with it. Hardest thing I've ever done. But I made it. Take it 1 day at a time. You get real hungry drink an extra shake. I only had to do that twice
  3. Sorry you're struggling. Get back on track. Time passes fast &-you'll be able to eat solid foods again. But not now. I'm 5 months post op &-have lost 100 lbs. You can too. It's probably the hardest thing you've ever done. It was for me but YOU CAN DO IT!!
  4. I still have a 100 to lose. Losing about 10lbs a month
  5. Exercise is very important. You won't be able to walk very far after surgery but you get stronger everyday. I walk 2 miles every other day &-1 mile in between. I joined a gym. Lifting weights really helped & will increase your metabolism. Time will pass fast on your diet. Don't cheat. Do what they tell you to do. You'll be glad you did it.
  6. I survived on 3 shakes a day. A couple of days I had 4. You will be weak. I lost 30lbs during my 2 week pre op. Absolutely the hardest thing I've ever done but so worth it. I'm 5 months post op & have lost 102 lbs so far. Good Luck to you.
  7. I drank Premier Protein Shakes
  8. Start slow. I could only walk 1/2 mile when I started. You will get stronger everyday. Make sure you get all the protein your suppose to have. You may have to still drink a shake a day to get there. Protein helps you heal. Drink lots of water
  9. I also had bypass & maybe diet restrictions are different with the sleeve
  10. My nutritionist said solids too. But my doctor said No. I was on soft foods for a month. Check with your doctor & see if he agrees with your nutritionist. I'm 5 months post op & have lost 102lbs. I have another 100 to go. Hang in there. It will get better. Do everything the Doctor tells you to do & don't cheat & get moving. EXERCISE does wonders
  11. I had the bypass. I ditto everything Miss Mac said. I'm 5 months post op &-have lost 102 lbs. Best thing I ever did
  12. Probably ought to be on soft foods instead of solids. Time to start exercising. The weight will start coming off.
  13. My guess is you're cheating on your diet & not exercising. You need protein & lots of water. Don't go back to old eating habits
  14. I'm 5 months post op. I weighed 396. I've lost 102 lbs. Still have a 100 to go. I feel & look better. You will look back on this &-say it's the best thing you ever did. Good Luck
  15. Drink your protein drinks. They will help you heal. Everyday you will get stronger. You should be off pain meds in a week. Good Luck
  16. Amazing story. Great success. I'm 5 months post op & have lost 102lbs. I have another 100 to go. Good Luck to you
  17. Wow great progress. I'm 5 months post op & have lost 102lbs. I have another 100 to go. I now can eat salads with no problems.
  18. Buy sugar free fruit cups & eat those when you want a snack. It's my snack of choice. Mix it up & get different ones. I think you know what to do. Your Nutritionist should have given you a meal plan for different stages. If not Google it. Lean Cuisines are the right amount of food for me. Just get the ones low in sugar. No more than 5 grams. I'm still losing 2 1/2lbs a week. I've got another 100 to lose. I'm excited about everything that is happening & you will be too. My body is changing, my health is getting better & yours will too
  19. Wow sorry you're struggling. I'm 5 months post op &-have lost 100lbs. I would start by laying off the sweets. They make sugar free cookies &-fudgesicles when you have a craving for sweets. EXERCISE!! Can't stress that enough. Walk 2 miles 3 days a week. Walk 1 mile in between days. Go to the gym & lift weights. It will increase your metabolism. I eat less than 1000 calories/day. Drink protein shakes for a meal replacement to jumpstart your diet. 25lbs is a good start. Try to do what the Doctors tell you to do. The hard part is behind you. You made a decision to change your life. Don't sabotage it by going back to bad eating habits. Eat small meals every 3 hours. Lean protein & veggies. You can do this. Good Luck to you!
  20. 5 Months Post op & have lost 100lbs. Off of my insulin shots & cholesterol meds. Workout everyday & feel fantastic. Have another 100 to lose. Excited what lays ahead this next year
