Newbie-Almost there

Hi everyone! My name is Heather. I live in East Central Minnesota. I am married to my high school sweetheart of 18 years now. I have two boys, 15 and 8. I work full time as a licensed practical nurse and go to college part time to become a registered nurse. Like many of you, I have been overweight the majority of my life. I was teased in school, and often as an adult I hear disparaging comments. I have been considering gastric surgery for the past 10 years. I looked into it again after I saw a patient having great success, and I was diagnosed with sleep apnea.

I am 5'4" and weigh 255 lbs. This is the heaviest I have been. I have done all of the diets with some temporary success. I have always gained the weight back, with a little extra bonus weight added on too.

I have one more month of seeing the required dietician before my "case" is submitted to insurance. The time has seemed to fly by until now. Since college classes start again for me on Monday, I am hoping I won't have much time to pace the floor waiting for time to pass.

This forum has been a great resource. I hope that along with you all, I can someday share my experience and success!

You all are a blessing to me!!!

<3 Heather

Welcome Heather! Nice to meet you and good luck!

I think I'd be 50 lighter if I'd never dieted. Always gained more back than I lost. Not this time! Good luck!
