Protein Pills?
Biotin won't regrow hair but it will make your hair a bit healthier and sometimes grow faster. You can always supplement your meals with a Protein shake. Good ones are pretty high in protein, up to 30 g. Good luck!

Frustrated
We have all been frustrated by the stall but hang in there...the weight loss will start again. The body is going through a major change and it needs time to regroup. I know it is frustrating to not lose and to even gain but the weight will come off if you stick to your plan and exercise. At times you will see no change on the scale but will see a change in your clothes. Try not to be too compulsive with the scale (should follow my own advice lol) and keep going. I have stalled once so far and it lasted a week. Then suddenly it started again. As you can see from posts here, we all experience it and everyone says it passes so relax and go for it!! Good luck!

Frustrated, confused and scared
Some people just love the sound of their own voice and love to tell people what to do. This is your life and you have made the best decision for you. Stick to your guns because no one else knows what you have been through in your life or what has brought you to here. You have made a monumental decision to take control of your life and that is something to be admired! You are going to do well and they will still have something to say, so just let it roll off. Focus on what you need to do and Celebrate every success you have along the way! It will be an amazing journey and I wish you well. You can do this!!

Eggs
At two weeks post up I could eat an egg...eggs are pretty mushy and go down pretty easily for most. When you get to other foods like meats it will be different. Enjoy your eggs!!

Hyena hernia repair and sleeve...
lol...I also had a hiatal hernia and it went fine. I was actually more tender from that than the sleeve. Basically I had a more tender area at the top of my stomach but it felt better after just a couple days for me. It didn't create any other issues than that. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!

struggling to get anything in
Keep at it cos you don't want to get dehydrated and end up back in the hospital. Try everything...it will work soon. You are recovering from surgery and your new tiny tummy is still healing and getting over the shock of it all. I struggled for days and then all of a sudden it was all good. Good luck, you can do this!

Can anyone else eat this much?
I think for a lot of us, we don't have that feeling of being full. For me, I will always measure my food so I don't overeat ever again. I don't want to stretch my sleeve out. The fact that you can eat more may also depend sometimes of what it is. Good luck and good for you for measuring, keep it up!

Observing, Changing, and weighing my Food outlook, Is it true?
I am a little newer than the others but it has been a decision I am thankful for every day. I have also been overweight my entire life. Lost up to 80 pounds a couple times but stalled and gave up. My joints ached, my back ached, there was a lot I couldn't do so my life was limited. I am 14 days post-op and started this change of eating habits mid January. I am down 52 pounds and already have more energy. I don't ever really feel hunger yet. I am on soft foods so far and I am satisfied with very little. I am down from a size 32 to a size 22 and that just amazes me. Keep us posted on how you do. Good luck on this amazing ride!

Share your rants about the fashion industry!
UGH! Sleeveless shirts...not with these arms. Clothes that are shaped like pup tents...it needs to fit or it makes you look bigger. Ugly patterns...guess they have to use that fabric for someone so why not the plus sized clothes? The stores that DO carry plus size clothing but only have 1-2 of the larger ones and tons of 18/20's, they are sold out before you even get to the store. Lack of options in the first place. So looking forward to getting into smaller sizes.

I just got my surgery date!
Congrats Cara! How exciting! Begin not drinking while eating and for at least 30 minutes after. Practice eating slowly and chewing. If you haven't already do tons of research for things you can eat/drink per your nutritionist plan. Get yourself a scale to measure your food. Go ahead and reduce carbs and increase protein. It will help the eating habit change be not such a shock. Good luck!! Any questions ask away! I am 13 days post op and down 52 pounds since beginning this journey. Down 21 pounds since my pre-op. This is a great tool with other changes to your life!
