  1. I am not dreaming of food yet. I watch the food network and get my fill of food prep and although I would love to eat now, I hope to make good choices in the future. It is hard, but we can overcome this. Thursday is scaring me cause I don't want to puke.
  2. Pre-op I weighed in weekly using my NUT's scale. Now I weigh myself daily. I lost about 2 lbs a week pre-op. I am now losing 1 lb every two days. I think I can handle the stalls and inconsistency, but I know that we are susceptible to depression so maybe counter your need to weigh with doing a Leslie Sansone five minute walk or something else?
  3. On my sleeve date, 10/7, I weighed 196. On my 10/14, one week out, I weighed 187.
  4. Hello. I was sleeved on 10/7, so we are healing in the same stages. Great to know you are doing great. Look forward to hearing about your continued progress.
  5. I did the kaiser mandatory 3 month pre-op diet. From my first class on Jun 16 to my surgery date of Oct 7, I lost from 225 to 196. No liquid diet. Just walking 30 minutes 5 days a week and eating 1200-1400 calories a day.
  6. Hope you are recovering well and get home today!
  7. Try Linknd.in https://www.linkedin.com/title/bariatric-dietitian
  8. I am on the Bariatric Advantage Multi EA with Iron Chewable, 2x a day. I was told by my NUT to stay off the Calicum chews for one month post-op. I heard good things about the patch too.
  9. Congrats! Try to poop and gas as much as possible. That puts additional pain where your incisions are. I could just feel the build up behind the incision that hurt the most. Once I burped or gassed and pooped, it was less painful. Sounds like you are doing great.
  10. @@pr_pitbullgrl Me too. Yay for Thursday!
  11. I think I will play it safe too with egg whites. My suggested samples of soft food meals includes: Example #1 Breakfast 1/4 - 1/2 cup scrambled egg whites prepared with cooking spray Snack Protein Drink lunch 1/2 cup cream of potato Soup prepared with light soy or fat nonfat Lactaid 1/2-1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce Snack Protein Drink dinner 1-2 oz steamed fish 1/2 cup soft cooked broccoli Example #2 Breakfast 1/4 - 1/2 cup cooked Cream of Wheat prepared with light soy or nonfat Lactaid Snack Protein Drink Lunch 1/4 - 1/2 cup tomato soup (prepared with light soy or nonfat Lactaid. 1/4 - 1/2 cup soft pears in Water Snack Protein Drink Dinner 1-2 oz soft, moist chicken 1/4 cup soft green Beans
  12. @@pr_pitbullgrl Great email. So what is going to be your first solid food meal? Do you have a scale?
  13. Dannon Light & Fit Greek Yogurt - Toasted Coconut - 80 cal & 12g protein and tastes great!
  14. I did day 0 (discharge day) to day 3 - clear liquids. I am currently in all liquids, days 4 - 14. Next phase, is soft foods, days 15 - 30. I follow my NUT and their program is online if you want something to help guide you. https://xnet.kp.org/misg/bariatrics/after.html
  15. Yeah, probably the matzo ball. Thanks for helping to prevent my diarrhea episode. I hope you get over it soon.
  16. Went to my first post-op with the surgeon. I am down 9 lbs since my 10/7 surgery and my labs say I am not getting enough water. I admit, I have been drinking my liquids and still sipping my water.
  17. @ I love the SF pops. I only have a box of the one with orange, grape, cherry. I have 1/2 every night while I am walking around the house in the dark and then the rest in the morning. It's the only thing I can bit, chew on now!
  18. @@OKCPirate I only drink the Green Tea Lemon too. Even my 15 year old son tries to sneak a glass of it instead of making his daily Protein shake after football practice.
  19. I had my post-op visit with my surgeon today. He looked at my labs and right off said I was not drinking enough water. Ding, ding, ding. I admit I have not, but my pee is not brown so I thought I was ok, I guess not. So I have to up my water TOO!
  20. @@agalindo17 I have been reading about it here on BP and it seems to be a good option instead of taking pills. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/353116-labs-are-back-patchmd-seems-to-be-working/?hl=+PatchMD http://www.patchmd.com/
  21. Do a search for PatchMD here.
  22. Kaiser suggests CELEBRATE or Bariatric Advantage brands and they sell them. When the rep brought my class samples. I did not like the chalky taste of the CELEBRATE (this was pre-op). https://www.celebratevitamins.com/shop/kaiser.html Are you trying to stick to a chewable? I am taking the BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE Advanced Multi EA 2x daily. These are chewables and not bad. The cost is $30.60 for one month plus tax with Kaiser as the code at http://www.bariatricadvantage.com/catalog/categoryHandler?cat=Kaiser%20Recommended%20Vitamins%20%3A%20Multivitamins If you are open to PatchMD or taking capsules, I think you have more options.
  23. @@klove89 I never had it either, but my surgeon prescribes it to all sleevers for the first 6 months. So far so good since I was sleeved last Weds.
  24. I cannot see the bottle very clearly, but it looks like Celebrate multi-Vitamins. That is a good brand, but I think you have to take 3 a day and supplement.
  25. I too was sleeved on 10/7. Are you taking anti-acid meds? Are you burping and gassing regularly? When you burp or gas, do you feel relief in your chest area? Have you been having bowel movements? I am only on liquids, not food at this time, so most of my Protein is coming in the form of Premier Protein drinks and Isopure clear protein drinks and a yogurt daily.
