Food Funeral, Last Meals?
My last meal was Souplantation on Sunday. Love that place. I was good though. I keep having visions in my head about my surgeon seeing my last meal in my stomach. I have surgery tomorrow afternoon. Is it too late to take miralax to clear out my stomach? I am not supposed to eat or drink anything after midnight and I am not on a pre-op liquid diet.

Isopure "mouth coating" fix?
If you can handle the extra, can you dilute with water? They are so sweet to me so I really need the dilution.

Trouble with ordering Syntrax Nectar on Amazon?
Same problem here. I had to order the 2lb. from vitacost instead. They charge $32.49 and they have 10% coupons. Free shipping over $50 I think.

Sleeved 9/30 - Qs 4 those weeks ahead of me!
I have not had my surgery yet, but I believe many, if not most, have regret the first couple of weeks, and maybe again during the plateau's. It is easy for me to say, hang in there, but this will pass, and the results will outweigh these tough times. Happy healing.

Pre-Op Diet Day 3
My surgery is next week and I do not have a pre-op diet to follow now. My doctor just said don't gain before surgery or he will cancel! Since June I have lost 25 lbs. by walking, drinking 32-64oz Water and following a 1200 calorie diet during my medically monitored nutrition classes. I would infuse a Protein drink or two for Meal Replacement here and there, but overall I did what you noted above as your diet. Add Beans, brown rice and limit eating out. Eating at home and bringing lunch to work helped me the most, along with just walking 30 minutes a day. Good luck. You can do it!

Thank you @bigbit. We will see what the surgeon suggests today as far as a primary care physician.

Looking for other Withings Activite' Pop users?
I am really enjoying tracking my progress on my watch & phone and hope that I can add friends to get us motivated in the step challenge? What is a Withings Activite' Pop you ask? It is like a Fitbit or Jawbone, except it is a watch too and you don't have to charge it or take it off to shower, swim etc.

Finally got approved - Anthem BC
@@bigbit Congrats. Can you tell me the process? Did you have to have to follow a doctor supervised weight loss plan for a specific amount of time, or did you have to involve a primary care physician? My daughter has an appointment today with a surgeon, but this is her first step since leaving Kaiser and her new insurance being Anthem BC.

I would love a bra that is not a minimizer.

Had my pre-op appt
I have no pre-op diet, but my doctor says no gaining weight. I have lost 27 lbs. by my scale, I started at 225 and I am down to 197. I last weighed in with him at 203. I have been tracking my food and exercise on myfitnesspal since July. My surgery is next Weds. Good luck with yours. The liquid diet should help keep your weight down.

I am scheduled for October 7 in Los Angeles at West LA Kaiser Permanente.

Kaiser Permanente Options program
Thank you @@Ruby Woo. When is your pre-op appointment? Did you go visit the anesthesiologist yet? Pay your deductible? I guess I will do that the day of surgery? I saw the doctor on 9/22 and don't plan on going back until surgery day.

200 lbs sleevers
@@ninataylor I have not had my surgery yet, so I cannot comment on your plateau, but are you tracking what you are eating. Are you emphasizing Protein first? Why not consider a plan to go back to an eating plan that was successful just after surgery like soft foods or ? Are you still paying attention to calories, sugar content?

Kaiser Permanente Options program
@@BohemianBeauty Yes I am ready to go and committed to following the plan. The classes prepared me well. You will see that the nutritionists want to see you try to follow their instructions. If you follow them and participate, get your labs done on time, turn in your logs and you lose weight, they will approve you and refer you to a surgeon quickly. So yes, from my June 16 class start to an October 7 surgery date is quick and helps to keep the motivation high.

Well so here I am.
10 years ago, in 2005, I did the same thing. I was approved for the lap band, lost weight during the liquid diet and said I can do this without surgery. Over the years, I gained and lost, but I could not get approved again until my BMI was over 40. Now I have lost weight again during my 3 month pre-op nutritional counseling, but I am going through with my surgery next week. I cannot make the same mistake twice. Good luck and just do it!

Emergency Stash of Protein
I have a couple cans of Trader Joe's boneless skinless sardines in olive oil at home and work. Does not taste bad at all! 14g protein for a half a can.

@@BohemianBeauty The classes were very helpful. I lost 17 lbs during the classes alone. Start using myfitnesspal to track your food and get used to a 1200 to 1500 calorie diet with all food groups represented and an emphasis on getting in your 75 grams of Protein daily and 64 oz of Water. Also track your exercise minutes at least 5 days a week.
