Surgery day!
It is ok to try, it is only a couple of hours early. Did you shred the chicken and soak it in broth? I know it is supposed to be really moist. Are you tracking your food on myfitnesspal? Oh, and I am sick of the Protein drinks, so far they don't make me physically sick though.

Surgery day!
Great shopping list! You got me watching a whole bunch of videos on youtube now.

Surgery day!
Great video. How far out is that lady? That seems like so much food. I am not sure I can eat all that! I went grocery shopping yesterday. Overwhelming. I took my time looking at stuff, Protein, calories, etc. I picked up some packets of tuna. chicken breast to shred. Cod pieces. Deli lunch meats, cheese slices and shredded cheese. Some soft fruits. Eggs/egg whites. We will see what I decide to try tomorrow. Good luck!

Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?
Had my surgery 2 weeks ago tonight. I have been at 185 on the scale for the 3rd morning. Still on liquids, but will be attempting soft foods starting tomorrow.

h-pylori bacteria in my gut
It is more common than you think. I was in a three month health education class required for surgery. Midway through the class everyone had to get labs and stool samples analyzed. I would say that about 4-5 people or 25% of my classmates had it and had to take the meds required and then be retested. If you still had it, they had to do more meds. They would not allow the person to have the surgery unless they were cleared of it.

Had surgery yesterday
Sorry to hear about the additional surgery. Glad you are healing well another night in the hospital. Hoping you can get the Iron up and get home tomorrow.

December 15th (if approved)
You have motivation and a positive attitude. Keep it up! You are almost there.

Post op appointment
@@HealthyRN What stage are you at? Soft foods? or still liquids. I think this is unreasonable if you are still on liquids, but I am not a doctor.

Hello
I think that is a great weight loss. Great job. Keep it up. I am also 12 days post-op and I seem to be losing 1 lb. every two days now which is fine with me. I know a stall is looming. But since June I have lost 40 lbs., so I am ok with slow and steady.

Myfitnesspal
I am a week or so ahead of you. I am tracking my food, sometimes water, and exercise (when I do it) is picked up by my watch.

Returning to work
I am 12 days post-op and feel that I could have gone back to work today, but I am still on liquids and in two days, I am going to soft foods where I have heard that I could increase the puke and diarrhea opportunities, so I am staying off until I can master a couple of foods to get me by.

Greek yogurt:/ Yuck!
I like the Dannon Light & Fit Greek. It comes in lots of flavors and the calories, sugars and carbs are low and the Protein is high. http://www.lightandfit.com/light-yogurt/light-and-fit-greek/strawberry-cheesecake

Tomorrow is 7 days since surgery
Yeah the incision pain is what I am left with too at 12 days post-op. I have learned to hold in/push in my tummy when I laugh, cought or sneeze. I have been able to sleep on my belly which is nice. I am not taking any pain meds either. I am just doing walking as my exercise. I also have pain if I pick up something or push something heavy. This is normal and I hope it goes away in the next 2 weeks before I go back to work in early November.

Today's the day!
You made it. Just remember the pain does subside. Wish you well.

Giving up
This kind of talk is scary to me. We have had two recent incidents where men decided to shoot people because they were alone and had nobody, no relationship. Why is it so bad to just be alone and happy with being alone? Is this just a male - femaie thing? I am ok with being celibate for life if I have too. I just find no need or want.

Chobani Greek yogurt ... Pumpkin.... SUGARS!? Help!
@@jenn1 This was one of the only lines of yogurt that fit with my NUT's limits - THAT TASTED GREAT - which was stick to yogurts under 100 calories, low sugars, low carbs and high Protein.

Where's my weight loss?
I am only 11 days post-op with a low BMI. Pre-op I lost about 30 lbs. and I have lost about 10 lbs post-op. I am interested in the responses you get. Have you incorporated any exercise into your routine daily? You are tracking your Protein and foods, what is the calorie intake?

Struggling with the liquid diet numbers game
I don't think you should focus on calories this early. Just continue getting your protein, water and liquids in as well as trying to poop again. I am 11 days out and I track my food/drink on myfitnesspal but I am not tracking calories only water and protein per my NUT.

Heartburn!
I agree with the suggestion to get a prescription for an anti-acid. Are you eating slowly and chewing enough? NOTE: I am not at the soft foods stage yet.

Clothes
@@missyray I am on liquids only right now, at least until Thursday when I can start soft foods. My favorite "liquids" are Soups by IMAGINE http://www.imaginefoods.com/products/creamy_soups and 2 Premier Protein shakes and 1 yogurt. I sip Water and sometimes, diluted clear Isopure and tea.

What’s Your Surgeon-Self-Other Split?
I tend to defer to my NUT, she was with me in the 4 months prior to the surgery and is now my contact after. I also will continue to take classes and go to support groups post-op to continue to be motivated. I am big on doing my own research too, so that is why I come here and other bariatric message boards for more knowledge and experiences. I don't see my surgeon (or his office) again for a year. I am with Kaiser who is big on health education.

Clothes
I am only 11 days post-op or so, but I have lost almost 40 lbs since June. I have not bought anything new. All my clothes are baggy. I have not even sorted through my clothes. But that is on my list this week to do while I am still home, but I just don't look forward to shopping.

Surgery day!
Finding something yummy makes a BIG difference. I have enjoyed my soup choices, especially a line that I have only found at Whole Foods (I see they are available in Sprouts and Bristol Farms too), called IMAGINE. Glad to know you found a good one too! http://www.imaginefoods.com/products/creamy_soups
