  1. Congrats. I was banded on February 13th by Dr. Posner. It's such a thorough program and gives you real assurance that you're doing the right thing. I'm three weeks out and doing great. Best wishes to you and stay in touch. Maybe we'll meet up at the clinic!!
  2. Woke up this morning feeling like a new person. No rumbles and grumbles yet, pain is almost gone and I'm off to have a cup of nice warm tea. Are you new bandsters making quick and frequent trips to the potty? Is that normal? Thanks again for everyone's support!
  3. Just got home. All is very well. Sore tummy, but not nearly as bad as I expected. Thanks for the encouragement. St.LouisGal, prayers your way tomorrow. You'll be fine. Write when you can
  4. 7:30 a.m. is my assigned time to arrive tomorrow. We're having a snowstorm, but as I just wrote viri, I'll get there by dogsled if I need to. Once again, those who keep this thread going are such an inspiration. Best of luck to all my band buddies. I'll try to write Thursday when I arrive home. Blessings everyone. t.
  5. Hi Jax, Your blog is great. My surgery dates is Wednesday and having read your story puts me even more at ease. Curious as to how "today" is going!!???
  6. Hi Fellow Bandsters: The long awaited day is almost here. This forum has been a blessing and I know it will continue to be as we compare notes in the future. I'm finally very sure of my decision and am anxious to get the procedure over with. Just purchased all my postop broths, jellos, etc. today so I guess there's no turning back now!!! Best of luck to all Feb. bandsters.
  7. Anybody scheduled in Buffalo next week?
  8. You are all such an inspiration. I am cleared for surgery on February 13th and your comments have reassured me that I'm making the right decision. This site certainly helps sort out issues. We're lucky to have one another!!!
  9. I think I'm going to use the gallbladder surgery. It's done laproscopically today and I would think once the gallbladder is out we should lose tons of weight. Yep, that's what I'm using.
  10. Hi D., I will be banded on February 13th by Dr. Posner. How about you?
  11. Good for you!!!! 44 lbs without the little band. You go. Hoping you'll join us as a February bandster. Stay in touch.
  12. Thanks for sharing your preop diet. I'm going to have a struggle because I'll only be home for ten days prior to surgery after a one week all inclusive vaca.............oh boy..........anyway we've got a lot of support and hopefully we'll stay in close contact because our surgery dates are so close. Have you found a palatable protein shake? I'm really really struggling to find one I don't literally "gag" on, Good luck to all February bandsters!!!
  13. Hi Fanny, Just read your post an am hoping that you're able to be at the computer and receive this wish for quick healing. I'm scheduled for Feb. 13th, so anxious to hear how you did yesterday. Sleep well. Tara5937
  14. IT'S FINALLY REAL. ALSO, AFTER NEARLY TWO YEARS OF VARIOUS STRUGGLES WITH INSURANCE, DECIDING TO GO, DECIDING TO CANCEL, THIS IS REALLY IT. I COULDN'T BE MORE SURE OF A DECISION. MY HUSBAND IS SUPPORTIVE. I CAN'T DECIDE WHETHER TO TELL MY SONS. THEY'RE IN THEIR THIRTIES AND WOULD RATHER I JUST JOIN THE GYM AND LOSE WEIGHT THEIR WAY. WISH I COULD. I SURE DID TRY AND TRY AGAIN. I'M WEIGHING IN AT 240, DOWN FROM 248, AND NOW STARTING MY REAL PREOP DIET. MY DOCTOR JUST PUT ME ON SOUTHBEACH. I'M CURIOUS AS TO WHAT THE REST ARE DOING - ALL YOU OTHER FEBRUARY 2008 BANDSTERS. GOOD LUCK TO US ALL!!:clap2:
  15. Excited, Scared, Anxious, Delighted, Apprehensive - I Guess This Describes The Long Awaited "you're Scheduled For February Surgery". A Long Road Which Will Travel Very Quickly I'm Sure. I've Watched And Waited To Join This Forum Until I Knew That I Could Really Be Granted The Wish. Thanks For The Honesty And Encouraging Support That's Been Shown On This Site. I'll Continue To Watch And Learn And Then Hope To Be Able To Share All My Success And Glitches With You. Let Me Know If Anyone Else Will Be Banded On February 13th!!!
