    1 Year Post Op Failure

I'm in the same boat. I didn't gain 20 lbs but did gain and feel terrible about it. I have decided to start from the beginning again. It's frustrating and depressing to see the weight gain but I know I can do this! I just have to get back in the right mind set. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    March Sleevers

good morning - havent updated in a while - i am down 54 lbs with about 40 to go. i purchased a size 10 pair of pants the other day and just couldnt believe it. it felt wonderful. i have the excess skin too but am hoping that it will either get tighter with working out or I will look into removal when i have been at goal weight for a while. I feel amazing, and its funny because i see people i havent seen in a while and they dont recognize me! LOL I have just started to work out again after a broken toe from work. I dont go to the gym, its 20 miles away, but we did just get a yoga studio in my town so i am going to start going there soon. i have noticed i can eat more and this scares me, so i still weigh my food and am very aware of what and how much i am eating. i have actually been in a stall for about 2 weeks and its frustrating but i know it will pass, and i keep a positive attitude! i have craved some things, but its mostly salty things, not sweets or bread which i guess is a good thing. keep up the good work march sleevers! we will get there!

    March Sleevers

Quick update - March 26 was my surgery date - as of today down 48lbs. Have a followup next Tuesday and want to be at the 50 lb mark. Went into Old Navy last week and purchased a pair of jeans since I have absolutely nothing to wear anymore. I have not purchased anything in Old Navy in forever! Still drink a protein drink a day, usually in the evening since I am at work and it is the easiest thing to grab on the run. I also eat a quest bar almost every day as well. Still liking fish, and have eaten seafood as well. I have not craved bread since the surgery which is great since I used to love bread. Did have a few slices of pizza along the way so far but its more like a half of a slice. Still worry every day that I will stretch out my "banana belly" so I am very conscience about what I am eating and drinking. I find it hard to get all my water in when I am at work but can do it without a problem on my days off. Will be bbqing this weekend for the 4th, I make special hamburgers for myself when I prepare all the burgers. LOL. Glad to read everyone is doing so well - Keep up the good work! You all are awesome!
  5. I am a little over 2 months out and had a glass of white wine last night. Not a full glass about a half and was fine. Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day!
  6. Sorry haven't been on in a few days. I try not to drink a shake every day but I do still drink them. I usually have a quest bar for lunch and eggs or cottage cheese for breakfast. Then for dinner a meat protein. My dr wants 60-90 grams a day. It's hard to reach when I'm working so I do rely on shakes and bars more on those days.
  7. 7lbs before surgery the rest post op! I do an hour on the treadmill every day and just really stick to the 3oz protein. I do go days without losing anything then boom I lose 2 lbs. I do eat salad now as well and some veggies (not a huge fan of cooked veggies) my family really roots me on as well when I'm thinking I want something (chocolate) they will tell me think before you eat! Lol I do and the feeling goes away most of the time. I have a quest bar for breakfast most mornings because it's quick and easy. Tuna or an egg or cottage cheese for lunch then chicken, fish or some kind of protein for dinner. If I get a sweet tooth I make sugar free pudding or have a sugar free fudge pop. We are all doing great! GO US!
  8. I would like that. I have hit 40 lbs as of this week. Just went to my sons college graduation and wore a dress that I couldn't wear for 5 years. This feeling is just indescribable!

    Overnight

Thanks. Did well. Don't usually work overnights so was hoping it wouldn't be too bad and it wasn't. Now I know even better I can do this!

    Overnight

Doing my first overnight since my surgery - wish me luck! This will be a huge challenge but I am up for it!
  11. I will be 6 weeks this Thursday and am proud to say I have made the one hundreds! The feeling is unbelievable I haven't been in the one hundreds in over 20 years!
  12. I was sleeved 3/26 and down 30lbs as well. I have been eating solid foods for a couple of weeks now. I am averaging about 5 lbs a week still and am very happy with that. I don't mind taking is slow, as long as it comes off.

    Hair - 6 weeks out

I have pretty thick hair and I know I may lose some. It's not course or damaged, just super curly. I just didn't want to "help" it fall out. Lol I am going to ask my hairdresser before I go in but wanted others that have had the surgerys' opinions. If I don't do it I will really miss my "summer hair". It's just hair though it's worth not having it for a summer. Thank you for all your thoughts. ????

    Eating out

When did anyone start to eat out? I really am not in the mood to anytime soon but I was just curious. Also, what did you eat when you went out?
  15. I will continue with at least one per day because I work 3-11pm and don't really get a break to make something so drinking the shake will be easier. It makes getting my protein in a bit easier too.
