    Help

I'm 7 weeks today and have lost 18.5 lbs. I feel quite disappointed as 11 of that was in the first week. I fear I won't lose very much despite exercising and eating my protein and drinking my water! Sigh. Anyone get past this point with success later on or are we all just the ones who bring the average down?
  2. Hey I have an update too, so 9 lbs lost the first week then no loss for 3 weeks!! 21 days of exercise and following plan and nada! Then I lost 1.5 lbs yesterday! So hopefully this will continue. Did those 3 weeks when I thought I'd have a lot of weight drop that didn't suck? Yeah. A lot. It's hard to stay positive, i of all people understand. What worked for me is upping my cals on all whole foods. I only drink Water, and only eat real meat with no sodium canned peas or green Beans. I think that's what helped me! Hope it picks up for everyone else too!
  3. In my second week I was on full liquids, and I had mashed potatoes because I made them really soupy and no lumps or anything! So it was basically like a liquid, right? If you are on full liquids I'd maybe try cream of potato soup in a blender though, slightly safer! Just my two cents though!! And don't worry, I'm a couple weeks you'll forget all about this agony, I'm almost four weeks now and that is but a distant memory ???? hang in there!!
  4. Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!! I came on here today to post asking about this!!! You're not going to beleive the similarity in our stories; Sleeved may 12th on self pay also! Week 1: lost 8lbs Week 2: lost nothing! Week 3: lost nothing! (Actually gained 2.5 and lost that but that doesn't really count overall) Wow it's so nice to feel like I'm not the only one! I was eating about 400-500 cals and now am up to 700-800, which helped me Lose the 2.5 gain! I get my 2 liters (67oz) and walk about 2-3 miles a day. Maybe it's just how we're made?? I don't know I just feel some relief seeing your post
  5. Hi all, i was sleeved may 12, I just wanted to put it out there for people on the thread I didn't take any pain meds after day 2, and actually asked for less while I was in the hospital as I was feeling great. Just wanted to say for anyone worried. I have had 3 natural births so I know pain, but for anyone who may be concerned, that was my experience!
  6. My bmi is 35, I have lost weight before, 3 kids later it's more difficult! I Sam scheduled for next week, when are you having yours?

    Anyone lift weights?

I've heard 6 weeks but I'd ask your doctor for your situation. I am getting sleeved on my 12 and will be asking him then!
  9. Wow guys! It's MAY!!!!!! Seriously great group on Facebook for us may sleevers, send 'Less of Jess' a message on this bariatric pal app with your email and she will send you an invite as it is a completely secret group so it won't come up in others newsfeed. Great support and so fun!!

    May 12 surgery buddy.

I am May 12th also! A May surgery Facebook group has been started for all us May sleevers and it is absolutely wonderful!!!!! It is set to secret so you can't search it though
  12. If you message Less of Jess on here she will send you an invite to the May/June sleevers group, if you haven't already! ???? She posted about the group earlier in the thread and it's nice to have everyone on the page going through this at the same time ????
  13. I will be arriving on the 11th, surgery in the am of the 12th, hospital that night and the next, hotel the night after that and fly home on the 15th. I get really bad motion sickness, hoping the surgery doesn't worsen this feeling! I always puke on planes which is why I don't ever fly if at all possible ????
  14. Hi all! I'm going to be sleeved May 12th in Tijuana. I live in the Rocky Mountains in Canada, and I'm not excited to travel alone ???? but it will all be worth it in the end I hope!! ☺️
