  1. 5 weeks post sleeve tomorrow. Heading back to work today. I've lost 17# since surgery! I've lost 2 pants sizes and 52# since January. I'm ready to get back to work. I'm 55.
  2. 193.2. Yay!! Scale is moving????
  3. 196.4. Sorry I'm late- I was out of town!
  4. I stalled for 6 days mid way through my second week. I lost inches during that time. Follow your recommended diet and keep up with your water! Your body just needs a chance to catch up!
  5. Any one tired? My surgery was on the 25th. I still don't have much energy. Getting my fluids and protein in. I just started on soft diet last 2 days.
  6. 197.6 Thanks Steph!
  7. Best wishes for a quick recovery! You will do great!!
  8. @Ame- I also had my surgery on the 25th. I am doing well. I've lost 13# so far. I had a 6 day stall. The scale is slowly moving again!????. How about you? Where are you at in your diet phase? It seems like all the surgeons are so different. I can start soft food in 2 days. I've done great on my puréed diet- no nausea.
  9. I was on the 25th. I was on a stall for 7 days. During that stall I lost inches!! I've gone down 2 inches in my waist and one clothes size! The scale is moving in tenths now. I can advance to soft foods in 2 more days and am going to travel to visit my mom for a week. It's about 800 miles by car. Surgeon said I have to get out and walk every hour. I am so greatful that I've had a smooth recovery. Loving this sleeved life! Glad to hear most are doing well and progressing along!!
  10. My Dr said to leave any raw skin untreated and to have them take pictures. Once you have documented health issues related to excess skin, most insurance companies will cover skin removal.
  11. I will be three weeks on Tuesday. I drink my shake in 4 oz increments and have 3-4 / day. It makes it much easier to get my protein in. I also started adding some unflavored protein to each serving. I have a flavored protein powder that I add to my water, it's by New Directions. It adds 12 grams of protein. That really helps. I can get 70- 80g protein in.
  12. Congrats! Great job with your weight loss and best wishes with your house adventure!
  13. Try to stay as mobile as possible. It does get better each day and this phase is only temporary. Focus on your water and protein. You can do this!!!! This phase is only tempoary????
  14. My surgeon said could try some in 6 months. Doesn't sound good at 2 weeks, 2 days out!
  15. I dumped with any artificial sweeteners postop.
  16. My MD has me using a ducolox suppository for constipation. It works about an hour after use.
  17. Here is my favorite recipe! White Bean chicken Chili 48oz jar great northern Beans 16 oz jar of salsa (any brand you prefer) I like Paul Neumans mild chunky salsa 16 oz canned chicken white meat 1 package low fat cheddar or, colbyjack, or 4 cheese Mexican. 2 tablespoons cumin Mix all ingredients in a crockpot and cook on high for 2-3 hours. Yields about 10- 1 cup servings. 26 grams Protein per serving I puréed this for that stage of the post op diet. Great food for soft or regular stage! A fellow sleever brought this to the chili cook off at work and it won! It is now a family favorite!!!
  18. I had my surgery on 8/25. I've done well, no problems. I'm on a puréed diet now. I made a white bean chicken chili in the crock pot today and puréed that. I can have 1/2 cup. It was very good. I can feel my restriction during my half hour it takes to eat. I got the recipe from one of my coworkers who also had a sleeve done. 1/2 cup is 13.7 G protein. I lost 10# on my prep liquid dirt and 12 post op so far. I don't have much energy yet.
  19. I had a drain. Came out postoperative day 9. It didn't hurt. It's longer than I thought so I was more surprised than anything. I took a Tylenol before I left the house for my appointment.
  20. My surgery was 8/25. I've been stalled for the last 4 days at the same weight. I lost 10 on my pre op liquid diet and 12 since. That is 22 # in a month which is great!! I'm just waiting this out, as I have read that it is expected.
  21. Count me in Steph! CW- 198 GW- 185
  22. Try 1/2 medium banana, I scoop chocolate protein powder, 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup water, 2 ice cubes. Place all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. 1/4 cup = 7.3 g protein. This got me through!!
  23. My surgeon gives us a written letter explaining it is a medical necessity,
  24. I love my fit bit one! I also have the aria scale. I am 13 days post op. I did 55 minutes of cardio today which gave me 8000 steps. I my goal is to have 10000/ day. I have met that one other day since surgery. I track all my food on My Fitness Pal and my fit bit is linked to it. I think this is a great combination to keep track of food and exercise!
