  1. I was under Tricare North when I got Bypass last May. I have standard though. The requirements were whatever the surgeon required, this is what they told me literally. I had surgery at Mayo Clinic in Florida. I was living in Illinois and Florida at the time. Surgeon required a BMI of 40, less if the person had comorbidities, education classes, nutrition classes, various test, and psych evaluation. They submitted to insurance and it came right back. No issues. No out of pocket, because I had met it for the year
  2. I love Old Navy and Kohls. I like Forever 21 too. Those are my regular everyday clothing store choices. I occasionally do Nordstrom and Macy's as well. I'm sure you will find a place you like.

    Drinks?

I was told 6 months post op alcohol was allowed. However, that came with a disclaimer. The alcohol will effect you more after surgery. A small amount may make you intoxicated. I never drank alcohol so it wasn't a big loss. I took some NyQuil the other night and I felt drugged so I will continue to stay away from alcohol. Anyway, discuss this with your surgeon.
  4. I'm 31, I had a BMI of 40 when I had surgery. My surgery weight was 238 and I am 162 right now still losing around 2lbs a week at a little over 6 months out. My high weight was 252. I thought by now the loose skin would be horrible, but it's really not. I have a little bit of loose skin on my arms and my stomach. But my stomach was bad before from pregnancies so I'm really not attributing it to the weight loss. I have like 17 more pounds to loose to a normal BMI and I don't think things will get much worse. My breast didn't even drop, sag, or deflate just got smaller. I honestly have been pleasantly surprised by my body. I thought I would need lots of plastic surgery, but now I wouldn't waste the money on it.
  5. I just recently started back drinking coffee. I either do Fairlife milk or Premier Protein RTD Chocolate or Vanilla
  6. My 6 months is actually on the 29th. I'm down to the goal weight I initially set for myself 165 lbs, now I'm thinking 145 lbs. My HW was 252 SW was 238 so about 87 lbs lost total.

Eating, Drinking, and Time In Between?

Mine is 30 min before and 30 min after. The funnel effect was explained to why we shouldn't eat and drink together. The liquid and food together clogs the funnel so we were told. I guess the before is so you won't fill up with liquid.

  9. There are a lot of factors to this. Everyone is different. As long as the weight is going down and you are doing everything you were told I wouldn't worry. I lost 14 lbs pre-op and 18 lbs the first month. I average 2-3 pounds per week. At 11+ weeks post op I am half way to my goal. I have had no stalls. I only weigh weekly to keep my sanity. I am happy with the steady weight loss. Slow is still better than none.

I ate only half of the brownie and half of the lemon on two separate days.

    Salad?

I can't wait to add salad's to my diet. My surgeon has us wait until 6 months post opt though

    Quest bars and dumping

They are good tasting. I bought a variety. I tried two on two different days, neither sat well. I travel a lot so was looking for high protein portable foods. Can't take the protein drinks through airport security only checked baggage.

    Quest bars and dumping

I had surgery May 29th. I am down 34lbs as of last Friday. My nutritionist was the one that told me to try quest bars. I've been on soft foods since week 3 after my surgery. I just can't have granola type bars or nuts yet when it comes to protein bars. I wouldn't try anything without approval first. And no I never update profile. I don't know how to do it from phone app
