You can find these walking at home videos on you tube. On the days that weather discourages me from walking outside or going to the gym, I search these on you tube. I have found 45 minute 3 mile walk at home as well as 1 mile in 15 minutes. Just search "walking at home" or
Try searching Zumba or yoga on you tube. There's a lot of options in there!! I find that no matter how down I'm feeling, once I get moving, I am feeling better after I exercise.

This was a favorite of mine while in the house due to the snow, there are tons of videos and they tell you the length of the walk, I have a little fitbit and that helps, just make it a game, I am 3 weeks post op and do the elyptical no pressure on the tummy muscles and its good for your cardio.
I hope it helps. Good luck. I miss my friend too so I got new friends

I have been having trouble too, I was told to stay away from the scale because weighing yourself every day willmake you crazy. I had surgery the 23rd of Feb. and lost 20 pounds super fast but then, I stopped losing and have been the same for a week. I eat about 500 calories a day and feel it should be shedding so fast, look at other posts, I think we may be normal... dang it! hang in there, Im trying too. Just dont want to regret too much.

bubbles2015 reacted to CanyonBaby in When should I take my vitamins?
    My simple solution:
After Breakfast, multi, D3, E, Biotin, B12. Mid-morning "cocktail" (mix cold Water with 1 scoop unflavored Protein powder, water-enhancer drops, powdered calcium citrate, Benefiber).
    Lunch; Iron.
Afternoon or evening "cocktail", minus the Benefiber.
    Dinner; Biotin.< /p>
All done, all absorbed, no negative interactions between the conflicting vitamins! If you need to, to help remember, get a pill dispenser at the pharmacy that has differing times on it, that helps a lot.

They will give you something, just rest well and take in the experience.I went for a walk and a potty break 1 hr after I got in my room. and, when they tell you walking is good for the gas, that is so true,I walked and walked and it helped so much, every time I was uncomfortable we went for a walk in the halls, the nurse kept looking for me but knew he could find me out and about, stay strong and let it happen. The more you move the better you will feel post op, I never used the hard drugs for pain after that first day, the most pain I had was from the gas but the cuts never hurt me. The hard part is anxiety is always about what could happen so all you have to do is think happy thoughts and take you meds if you need to. I had weird dreams after the surgery too so be prepared and just let go and let God. btw don't be surprised

I took 2 weeks off work. It was definitely rough for me going back. I was very very fatigued. It was a challenge making it through the day and I just have a desk job! Things got much better once I was allowed solid foods and started getting my calorie intake up.

Thank you everyone for the advice and tough messages. I guess I never really realized how alone I have allowed myself to become over the years. I appreciate the insight and will be thinking about it a lot. Still moving forward with my consult on April 2, although I'm so on board with doing this I don't see how I can wait 6 months!! Insurance will pay but it seems like 6 months of hoop jumping to get there. I'm ready now....

I don't weight myself. I'm only 6 days out. I'm too busy figuring out what to drink and how to take Vitamins etc. I decided that I'm not going to weight my self because I don't want to add more stress to this stressful surgery. I really hope it gets better. Because I love food.

Buyer's remorse typically kicks in around the "dreaded third week stall" There are several threads on the forum with this topic, to give you some insight about how common it is.
My nausea did not let up until I stated whole cooked foods at week 4 1/2. Once I started that and got into a routine and comfortable with my volume, a lot of things changed for the better. I started getting less nause, better sleep, more energy and a better mood.
Besides, Spring is here and the weather will be nice enough shortly to get outside and get some fresh air and Vitamin D sunshine. You are over the worst of it, and will start to feel better soon. About the time you lose thirty pounds, you will begin to notice that you are feeling somewhat better. Hang in there, kiddo.

My husband never EVER would have hurt me with the words your husband uses, maybe you need to drop 180 pounds of unsupportive man. My husband loved me thin, FAT, OBESE and will love me thin again, because it is me he loves not my weight, I hope he comes around but I also hope you make the right choice for you and what will make YOU happy, lots of love and I I pray for you to make the right decision for yourself, support is a big deal because this surgery is a very big deal. Good luck.

My scale has gone down every day after surgery I stepped on it today after day 10 and it did not and I barely had much to drink the day before. I drank about 8 ounces total thru-out the day of Activia drinkable yogurt, it does have a bit more of the carbs and sugar's then I would normally intake, but I barely had any Protein that day so I figured I would be okay. I know it sounds ridiculous to be upset but I feel like I'm literally drinking nothing other then sips.
