crazyffhfan got a reaction from Kindle in I am a big fat phony failure
haha...I giggled at this. I am only two months post op, lost about 40 pounds so far, but I don't see it one bit. People are telling me at church that they can tell I've lost, but I don't see it yet. Anyway. My coworkers all know what I did, had to take off work to do it. But everyone has been so supportive. I guess I'm fortunate. Hope I don't have to switch jobs or blend in. I've always enjoyed standing out a little.

Hi! My name is Angie. I'm 38 years old and I have surgery one month from today. I am so nervous. I don't know whether I should read stories about the surgery, or come here and read about who you all are. But I did this first, so I'm going to tell you all a little bit about me. I have three beautiful daughters....ages 15, 7, and 5. They are so precious and perfect to me. I love them and they bring me great joy! Then there is my husband.....OMG!!! I have not ever in my life met someone so perfect for me. He is not the father to any of my children, but he loves them like they were his own. Each of my kids has a different father, please don't judge, because I wouldn't change that for the world! My husband and I lived together two years, and we got married on 2/15/15. Everyday since has been like a total dream come true. Just being with him and my girls makes me feel so blessed! Regardless of the daily struggle I have with my "fat suit" as I call it, I am able to see the many blessings God has given me. And yes, Jesus is an INCREDIBLE part of my life. HE is my everything.
Now, to be honest I am getting very nervous, even scared. When I thought surgery wasn't going to be until the summer I was cool. But today leaves me one month away. However, even with the nerves, I'm still excited to take this "suit" off. I want to feel better, move better, be better. I know that God has a plan, and I am praying with all I have that this is successful and just a complete blessing. Not only for me, but for my little ones. I want them to have mom around for a good long time!
Back to me: my husband and I LOVE to go sing karaoke. Some of my favorites to sing are "Sparks Fly", "So Small", anything by the Judds and Natalie Grant. (Gotta have some Christian music in there!) Yes, I'm a Christian, I go to an awesome church in Houston, called Crossroads Fellowship. It is awesome! The majority of my time I'm listening to music that is uplifting, Christian music is my favorite....KSBJ and Air1 lift my spirits.
I'm also an accountant. I LOVE LOVE LOVE numbers and working with them at my job everyday! With three kids and my husband being disabled, I have a lot on my plate. But my boss and coworkers work with me and give me a free flexible schedule. I can't tell you enough how great it is to work where I do. It's awesome. Oh, and my undergraduate degree was in Catholic Theology. Hear that? Catholic! HA! The church I attend now is Assembly of God. So different, but both so wonderful on so many levels. I have a great respect for Christian beliefs.
Well, that's about it of me. Any questions, let me know. This is actually my first post. Hope you all have a great and blessed day!

Am I weird? I told everyone what I did. Then had to tell strangers because of the diet. But, I've never heard anybody whispering. But if they do....I don't give a crap. This was like my last resort. And it came to the fact that I needed help. So, I got help. End of story. Almost everyone I know and care about think I've done a great thing for myself and for my health. I realize not everyone is that way. I just don't care what people think of me or how I have chosen to get heathier.

crazyffhfan got a reaction from jaterika in 2 weeks post missing food
It does get better! Head hunger was my worst enemy at that time. Once I went to soft food list, all was right with the world. I could probably try new things and more solids in a week or two, but I'm happy where I'm at. I'm losing a little, and I eat enough soft foods for my belly. I can eat about an egg, then I'm done. Persevere! You can do it!!!

I haven't had any trouble with temptation either. Except the ice cream stuff I see in the cooler every time I go get Water. But I never give in, and I'll bet you can overcome this too! I'm only about 2 months out. So I can't eat hardly anything. Which in reality is great!!! lol Hope you do well!

So, this is my first time in the post-op section I think. And I'm reading a lot in here about "restriction". What is that? Like that feeling you get when you feel full? I'm only a week post-op and I feel like I could drink a gallon of liquid at a time. I'm hungry a lot, so I fear I'm not getting enough Protein in. This counting crap is for the birds. Sorry! But am I the only one who hates it??? I wasn't counting anything before surgery because I didn't like it then either. I'm still on liquids, so there's not a lot I can do, I don't feel any of this restriction right now. Maybe the first day or so I did, but not now, or at least not that I can tell. Let me know what you think!

4 days post op and feeling fabulous! Had some trouble Friday was about to get released when I went unresponsive and lethargic. My vitals were good so they gave me narco or whatever to get the pain relievers out of me. I came to and they chalked it up to a reaction with the meds. I've been fine ever since! Stayed an extra day in hospital and home on Saturday doing really well now!!!

I'm at 356, which is less than what I thought I was. I don't have a scale at home, which I need to get...lol. I don't really care about the weight. I stopped caring about all that years ago. What I DO care about is my health. I plain old jane just do not feel good anymore. I can't do anything standing up for any length of time. I can barely even make it to the copier and back at work. That being said, I have been maintaining my weight the past several months. Up and down between 345 and 360. I'm ready to lose!!! I'm ready to feel better!
I too have about 200 lbs to get off. I want a weight of 150. I don't know if that is even realistic, but that is my personal goal. Hope all the best for you! Wish me luck....I get sleeved in 4 days!!!
