  1. @@Bandista that's good to know! I'm a little worried because I work really long hours so I need to get the best sleep I can but at the same time, the mask is damaging my face and I'm tired of waking up with extra air in my stomach.

How did yours turn out so well? Mine were burnt around the edges and liquid in the middle!
  3. True Athlete makes a good one. I used to use it a lot in shakes and still use it in baking.

Is / was your nutritionist all that helpful?

My nutritionist seemed knowledgeable enough but was always unavailable. When I had a question about calories it took her 3 weeks to respond. I feel like everything I've learned about nutrition was from my own research and these forums.
  5. I'm jealous! I'm 99% sure I don't need mine anymore because I'm on the lowest possible setting and I seem to wake up burping from all the air, but I'd like to do another sleep study to confirm it. For those of you who have managed to stop using it, how did you do it - slow transition or cold turkey? Despite the fact that it's given me sore on my nose, I don't know how to sleep without it!

    Electrolytes

What do you guys use to replenish electrolytes? I've been biking a lot lately and getting lightheaded and nauseous so I got the Nuun electrolyte tabs. However, I've discovered that they give me really bad gas pain because they're actually carbonated. Apparently I didn't read the label very well. I know coconut Water is supposed to help, but I can't seem to find one with fewer than 15 grams of sugar. I know there's a lower sugar gatorade but I try to avoid too much sucralose because it tends to give me a headache and serious sugar cravings. Any alternative suggestions?

    Ideas for on-the-go lunches?

    @@Alex Brecher @@esskay77 great ideas!!
  9. In my job I don't always get to sit down and eat lunch. For the past nine months I have been mostly eating variations of the same meal - roll ups. Deli meat rolled with cheese, or vegetables, etc with once ounce of some kind of fruit or veg on the side. I'm definitely getting tired of them which is dangerous because the catered lunches my work provides are looking more and more appealing. Does anyone have suggestions for lunches I can eat while running around or in the car? I'm still only eating 4 ounces per meal and I try to keep it closer to the 150 calorie range.

    Calories at 8 Months?

I'm almost 8 months out from surgery and I'm trying to gauge how many calories I should be eating. Right now I'm averaging about 1300 a day which feels way too high, and yet I still feel fairly hungry. I'm eating really clean - lean meat, vegetables, etc - and getting, frankly, too much Protein. Where were you guys at at this point?

    Ideas for on-the-go lunches?

@@Inner Surfer Girl I agree that it's not the healthiest option but that's the industry I'm in. Sometimes I definitely do get to sit and focus on eating but I never know which days those will be so I have to always prepare lunch as if I'm not going to be able to sit. @@Ashlegal how do you adapt the recipes back to regular sugar? I use stevia in my tea and it's in some of the pre made foods I eat (Protein powder, etc) but it's been a disaster every time I've tried to cook with it.

  22. I'm flying cross country on Thursday so I'm going to be spending most of the day either at the airport or on the plane. Does anyone have any suggestions of low calorie (around 100 calories) non-perishable snacks that I can bring? I hate buying food at the airport because I'm a control freak who likes to weigh and measure as much of my food as possible.

How Do You Track Your Food?

To track the calories of recipes I put the recipe in caloriecounter.com and it spits out the nutritional breakdown and I put it in the jawbone UP app. You can also do the barcode scanner but I don't know if it had as extensive a library as MyFitnessPal.
