Today is my 39th birthday. My cousin bought me clothes as present. She asked me to try on a tunic. I look at the tag and see a size L regular. I thank her and follow it with "I'm sorry I won't fit this".She responds with "just try it".Not only did it fit but I'm swimming in it. My head has not caught up with my weightloss.

when you put on jeans for the first time in 6 yrs ( since they took out your thyroid) and burst into tears because they are ones you use to wear... and now they are too big OMG

- When you're in the local supermarket, just minding your own business, when, at the far end of the aisle, a PT from the gym you used to go to walks past, looks you right in the eye, then keeps going, only to do a MASSIVE double-take, comeback and stand in the middle of the far end of the aforementioned aisle, and yell -

Welcome to the losers bench! I had a sleeve in August and no regrets yet.
There's a wealth of info on this website - browse around. If you have any specific questions, there's always someone who can help. Just keep up with your liquids, Protein drinks and Vitamins and you'll be a shadow of yourself in no time. There are some rough Patches (I just finally dropped off a 27-day plateau), but don't get discouraged! Mark down your current weight and "dimensions" - when you hit a plateau, you'll be amazed at how much your body changes while you stay the "same weight". There are days I feel like nothing has changed (we see ourselves in the mirror every day), but the size of my ankles, calves, waist, ... have all shrunk.

So you take six weeks or so off...
It's not like you're planning on gorging yourself...
Just relaxing your rules a little...
Give it a crack...
And if it's not working for you then try something else...
You're a young, healthy woman...
You're now in a position to experiment to some degree, especially knowing that you have all the right tools (mental and physical) to get yourself back on track if and when you need to...
You're a smart kid...

That would be very frustrating for me. My dr told me she strongly recommended against sleeve for me because I had bad acid reflux but even with her encouraging the bypass, I had to research it and come to the decision on my own. I would want the dr to explain in detail why they feel sleeve is better for me specifically than my initial choice. I would suggest calling on Monday and saying you want to discuss.

yeah sh'e not the best person, my husband is friends with her and sometimes in order to spend time wiht my husband I have to put up with her tagging along.

at the restaurant she takes the wrapper off her straw and tosses the paper into my husband's glass of Water and thinks it's just the funniest thing ever.

OK, given this, there is a lot more wrong here than this so-called "friend" being rude. Husband needs a knock upside the head. One does NOT treat one's spouse like this. Period.

All that would really make me mad.
However, it won't be long at this will be a thing of the past. The clothes and fitting in anywhere are the two things I love the most about being a normal size! Sadly, that woman will still be a bitchh.
