I also had surgery there and it is brand new and beautiful!! My care was also awesome! BUT tell your care person to write down the address of the hospital if they venture out... the streets can be confusing and it is new so not all cabbies know about it... You will do great!!

Well funny your DR is speaking for ALL DR's because I had surgery in Mexico and I have a general practitioner and an orthopedic that are all giving me care. So that is why it is best to get more opinions than one. They don't want their work outsourced which I understand but I also couldn't afford 23k and I wanted to get enjoy my life pain free... And believe me I don't think anyone who goes to Mexico after one phone call I had months and months of research my care was too notch and I would recommend it in a heart beat!

I had my surgery in Tijuana April 2nd by Dr. Fernando Garcia, he is with Tijuana Bariatric. He has done around 5000 of these surgery's. He has moved to a brand new hospital my care was excellent. On the hour every hour someone was checking my vitals. I am down 12Lbs in one week. I went to Mexico because my insurance would not pay even though I suffer from degenerative arthritis and a torn meniscus. If you have any questions let me know I am here to chat.

Goal weight is 150 so 125lbs. I am hoping to lose that by November so I can get everything tone and hard too I have not even thought about wedding shopping... I am wedding planning but no dress yet... When is surgery again??

It is just a short time remember a week or two is a blink in years and we are adding years by doing this. I am 5 days post op and back to work yesterday doing ok, sipping Gatorade and Water... down 11 lbs The hardest is going to family functions and watching everyone eat and knowing I can't eat anything since I'm still on liquids but I can't wait until this becomes a distant memory ☺️

Each person is different I don't think that she is losing too fast she said she is exercising and sticking to the plan. I am 5 days post op and I am trying for 129 lbs in 8 months joined the gym and I am going to get a head start on this new life. Why be negative? Great job!!! Keep it up!! Keep posting!!!

Thank you I will think about it... My boss was already not happy about me leaving, but I can't stand my knee pain anymore I needed to be proactive

I am having surgery on April 2nd at the Florence/Oasis of Hope, with Dr. Fernando Garcia. I am 44 and have battled with my weight all my adult life, I swear I can hear my moms voice saying you better not eat chocolate cake and chocolate milk for Breakfast it will catch up with you... all the while being a size 6.... fast forward 10 years and it caught up with me and then started multiplying. I now am battling degenerative arthritis and a torn meniscus, 7 years I have been told nothing is wrong with me all the while it getting worse and my ability to keep active dimensioning. I am now so out of shape and in so much pain that I have been taking anti depressants just because the pain finally got to my normal up beat attitude. After 8 months with this orthopedic doctor he was able to do an MRI and he was able to diagnose me!! I thought yeah now they will fix it and I can get moving and lose some weight, the next thing he said is if you want replacement surgery you will need to lose weight.... I lost MY MIND!! WHY would you not have discussed this during all the shots the draining and the pain I am enduring to now tell me that I will have to continue to fight a fight that I already struggle with when healthy and who knows how long it will take me to lose enough weight... That was last month... I have now made the decision to go forward with the weight loss surgery, I had been pre approved before but switched jobs and states before I was able to jump through all the hoops to get it done, I have had psych test and nutrition classes so I do believe that I am prepared that way. Mentally I can't WAIT!! I am getting married Sept 16, 2016 and I WILL dance at my wedding!! I have a wonderful supportive man that loves me how I am and only wants me healthy and happy. Please let me know your experience and if you have any regrets. I will be returning to work ASAP but it is an office job so from what I have read I think I will be ok...

Thank you! I am set for April 2nd I will be there till the 5th I plan on coming right back to work (desk job) from what I've heard I will just not feel well... Weak stomach has never been an issue... Good luck with making your goals!!
