Good for you, it's a great feeling when you can actually see your work start to take shape. You've inspired me to share my before and current photos too. I haven't measured myself again since I started the pre-op diet so will get to that at some stage too.

I am 3 months in and I have great days and bad days. There is still so much I have to learn, or relearn as the case may be, but on my good days, I feel stronger than ever. I definitely still have issues to work on, but it feels so good to know that I did this for myself and that hard work is paying off. I am such a results oriented person that it is hard to take things day by day, sometimes. Having said that, 3 months is a great time to reflect on where I was 3 months ago.
3 months ago I weighed the most I ever have. Today I am almost down to my lowest adult weight.
3 months ago I was a collective 24 inches larger than I am (arms, bust, waist, hips, thighs).
3 months ago I had knee pain severe enough to make me finally go see an ortho for him to basically tell me there was nothing wrong with my knees and that I needed to lose weight. For the record I think he is way wrong - knees don't hurt for no reason, even if I am/was overweight. Today my knees only hurt if the weather is doing something crazy (true story) or if I have been particularly active.
3 months ago I was 20 pounds heavier. Today I still battle with the word "only" - I "only lost 20 pounds, etc, and "should" - I "should" be further along than I am, etc. But today I am more capable of giving myself grace when I make mistakes.
3 months ago I overate constantly, exercised very little, and was very lethargic. Today I still battle motivation to a degree, but I go walking 5 days out of the week and I use my band to help control how much I eat. Today I am that much closer to my green zone than I was 3 months ago.
3 months ago I took antacid medicine on a regular basis. Today I have zero heartburn or gerd issues. In fact, I haven't had heartburn once since surgery.
Last but not least, I will attach some pictures. I am very self-conscious of these, but they tell my story more clearly than any words I could say. 3 months ago I said, "it's hopeless; I can never change." Today I say, "yes, I have a long way to go but it IS possible. I CAN do this. I WILL do this."

I had surgery on 2/10, yesterday. I'm sore and trying to eat some and stay hydrated. I am excited to finally have this done and get started on my new life.

I'd like to have an answer to that question too! I've lost 52 and 1/2 pounds in the 5 months since surgery and the butt and hips are still holding on for dear life

Non-scale Victory (NSV)!!!! Never lose sight of the NSVs! NSVs are numerous and add so much motivation to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Keep the NSVs in mind when/if you hit a plateau.
Congratulations and continued success to you!

Lolo~t got a reaction from Bandista in One month post op!
Hello all, I'm new to this group, and only one month post op. I'm curious to know if it is normal to feel hungry all the time! I had my first fill last week, I feel hungry all the time, I haven't felt full since surgery. I feel like I can eat anything I want. Is this typical?? Thanks, Lori

This is so true! I didn't start off telling anyway until I got closer to my surgery date, and then I was excited...thinking my coworkers would feel the sameway for me. HECK NO!!! I got...Your too Small for surgery...my PC even said to me that I probably wont get approved because I'm too small! I told him...IN THE NAME OF JESUS I WILL BE APPROVED AND I WILL NOT BE ON ANY DIABETIC MEDICINE OR B/P MEDICINE! He said well just don't be disappointed when NONE OF THAT HAPPENS...EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE SURGERY YOU MAY STILL BE ON YOUR MEDS! I SAID!!!! ...IN THE NAME OF JESUS I WON'T!!!!
I had my surgery 11/18/14 and I'm Med FREE... HIGHEST WT. 230 NOW 194......THANK YOU LORD! I saw my PC last week in my NEW SIZE 14 JEANS and said...HOW YA LIKE ME NOW!!!! LOL

Thank you for your reply, louluch. I guess I'm not entirely abnormal. My worry is that I have the stomach of the Jolly Green Giant and nothing will limit my stomach from food intake. I really want this band to work!

I'm about five weeks out post-op and just had my first fill two days ago. The nurse put in 1.0 cc (I think cc is what they measure it by??), but I don't feel any different than I did before the fill. I was hoping I'd get more of a full sensation that lasted longer between meals, but I feel....normal. I'm hungry after about three hours and really ready to eat! I do eat a lot less than I did before by about a little more than half. How much Fluid does everyone usually get in their band before it really kicks in?

Lolo~t reacted to bkchick88 in Second fill yesterday.....advice?
I've only had one fill and most days I wonder if I even have a band. My band only has 1.0 cc of Fluid in it. What I was told after my first fill is that the stomach area is swollen and irritated for a few days after a fill and that you'll feel very tight for a while. Then it loosens up after that and gets more comfortable. I go in for my second fill this week and hope to feel a little more satisfied between meals. I can only go about three hours and I'm really ready to eat! They're really going slow with me and so my weight loss is going slow too. I'm thrilled to have lost what I have, but I have so far to go I wish things would speed up.
