    Before and After Pics

One Year post op on Friday! Down 94 lbs. and feeling AWESOME!
  2. LosingSomeLisa

    Before and After Pics

I'm 9 months post op, and I take a picture every three months. 85lbs. down!
  3. I have been taking a photo every three months since my Surgery on May 6th. I was sure the 9 and 6 month photos were not going to show a difference because I've only lost a few pounds a month in the last three months. Well, I was wrong! There IS a difference, and I can't wait to see what 1 Year looks like!

    May Sleevers check in

I'm pretty excited -- I finally made it to the gym on Monday. And Tuesday. And Today. I'm down 2lbs since Friday so I think I'm back on the rapid losing train! I'm not terribly sorry that I waited to start an intense fitness regime, but I'm VERY excited for the next six months!!

    May Sleevers check in

@@jane13 Since we're really close to the same height, sizes are probably about the same too -- I've gone from a 20 to a size 10. Yay! My goal was 90lbs. by Christmas, and I think I might just make it! That puts me at 185 -- this is so exciting, isn't it? A year ago this was all just a dream! What holiday challenge are you talking about? I'd love to do that! (P.S. I got on the scale the day after Thanksgiving AFTER I ate breakfast and was down 2lbs. from the previous week -- I thought I was going to cry, I was so happy. Can't remember a Thanksgiving where that has ever happened!)

@@jane13 - You're RIGHT! We're about dead on it both height and weight lose -- I was at 79lbs. as of last Friday. Weight loss has slowed to a crawl for me, but it's still coming off. Today is my first day going to the gym (I wanted to wait until I was under 200lbs and the weight loss slowed --- probably flawed logic), so hopefully with a consistent workout routine the weight loss will pick back up! Congratulations on your awesome success!!

    Six Month Milestone

Not yet! I wanted to get below 200lbs before getting serious about exercise (I know, that's not a brilliant plan), but I've signed up for a boot camp that starts the Monday after Thanksgiving. Can't wait!
  8. My surgery was six months ago, and I have had a flawless recovery so far, no complications, no dietary intolerance, a near 80lb. weight loss and feeling AMAZING. However, I've been taking photos every three months since my Surgery (May 6th), and looking at the latest photo, I was so disappointed. All I saw was cellulite, and I felt a little down. Then I went back to the photo I took a few days before my surgery and went WHOAAAA!! Every step forward is success, this hard work and we should never lose sight of our successes no matter how small. Don't lose heart!! I'm including the photos from 0, 3, and 6 months post surgery.

You know you lost weight when

When you completely avoid the size M sweaters, then have to circle back because that's the one that actually fits you. WWWWHHAAATTT?

You know you lost weight when

When you realize you've been sitting with your legs crossed for some time before you realize you didn't use to be able to do that.

    1 year post-op today down 125lbs

Congratulations!! This is all very encouraging!

    May Sleevers check in

I'm 68lbs. down after being sleeved on May 6th. I'm really happy with the progress, but haven't started exercising yet. Gym bag is packed and in my trunk, membership to gym is in place -- I just can't seem to make myself get started! Any advice or insight?
  13. How are you doing now? It's been a few months...have you gotten some traction? Wishing you the best.
  14. Hi there! I am three months out from surgery, and have had a text book experience so far. Recovery was a breeze and things are going perfectly. The only think I've noticed is increasing discomfort when I eat any kind of pasta. I'm reading about it, and it sounds like developing gluten intolerance after WLS is fairly common -- have any of you experienced this?
  15. I'm only two months post op and have lost over 50lbs...definitely haven't gained. There was one week where I didn't lose, (I only weigh once per week so I don't make myself crazy) but the following week I had lost 6lbs, essentially catching right back up to the 3lb weekly weight loss I seem to be experiencing.
